The book I am reading in silent sustained reading is a book called Good crooks. My favorite part about this book are the characters and the setting. The descriptions of the setting in the book paint very vivid pictures in my head. The story follows two twins named Billy and Jillian who’s parents are crooks who like to steal things instead of buying things. When Jillian finds a poster telling her to buy a dog or buy dog medicine, the craziness starts when Jillian starts a stand to raise money by selling cupcakes. When their parents find the poster, they say to steal dogs. But when they steal the pretty poodle named Poochie, they do everything to get the dog back to her owner. I would overall rate this book 4.5 stars. This book was good for its setting and the characters.

I LOVE Caraval! It’s my absolute favorite book series! It’s about this game called Caraval that blurs between reality and fantasy. The other two books in the series are just as good! I would highly recommend this trilogy to readers that love fantasy, adventure, mystery, and a hint of romance! Go check it out! You’re gonna love it!

This is 100% my favorite Disney Twisted Tale. When I first saw the little subtitle, "What if Anna and Elsa never knew each other?" I was so curious to see how that would actually work given how close the sisters are in the original movie. Of course, I can't say that I like this plot better than the original, but this should really be turned into a movie. That would be soooo cool!

Stink is an awesome book. Everyone should read this book. You will learn a lot of facts about sea animals. It also has funny parts. Another good reason is it’s a series. This book is about Stink Moody. He is afraid of sleepovers and he has to go to one. It is at the aquarium. His friends are going too. Their names are Webster and Sophie. Then they go on a scavenger hunt. They learn about jellyfish, sharks, and squid. One reason to read Stink is that he is Judy Moody’s little brother. I loved the book because it had facts. It has a surprise ending.

"Wait till helen comes"is a great book.It's about this 12-year-old girl named Molly,10-year-old Michael,their mother,Dave(their stepfather),and Heather, their seven-year-old stepsister who is mean and cruel to them.Every chance she gets,she lies to get them into trouble.the children get the news that they are moving into this old church in the country.Nobody is happy about this except for the parents.When they get there,they find a graveyard behind the house.Heather finds a grave alone,and she starts talking to a ghost named Helen.They have a lot in common because of what each of them did.(you have to find out).Helen is lonely and dangerous because she lures children into the pond by a burned down house she used to live in.Anyway,Molly is deathly afraid of the graveyard and especially when Heather tells them to "Wait till helen comes.You will regret you ever did anything to me"Read it to find out the rest!It wasn't that scary for me but I still enjoyed the book alot.Recommended for anyone who likes mystery/scary/ghost stories.<3

This book takes place in World War II. Ava and her little brother Jamie are living with their abusive mother in a small apartment shack in London. Ava has an unfixed clubfoot, and because of it, Ava's mother doesn't let her go out in public, go to school, use a normal bathroom, and treats Ava like she is nothing but a burden in life. One day, Jamie finds out about a train taking kids to the country, where it will be safer than London when the bombs come. Ava's mother doesn't want Ava to go, but Ava sneaks out with Jamie and they take the train. When they arrive, nobody wants to take them in, so they are taken to a women named Susan. Susan does not have kids nor does she want kids, but she is forced to take them. At Susan's house, Ava's world is changed. For the first time in her life, she is allowed to go outside at free will. At Susan's house, she discovers so many new things, like grass and a horse named Butter, which she learns to ride. She gets three good meals a day, and gets to use a normal bathroom, not a bucket. Eventually, Ava and Jamie start to grow on Susan, and she starts to grow on them. Ava finally has someone to comfort her, and to tuck her in at night. She gets an education, and has the possibility to get her clubfoot fixed. And for the first time ever, Ava gets something she's never got before. Ava gets to be loved. The War That Saved My Life is a wonderful book. Kimberly Brubaker Bradley did an amazing job writing this book, and did a really great job having you connect with the character, as if you were right there beside her the whole time. I recommend this book to boys and girls ages 11+.

The book The Bell Bandit by Jaqueline Davies is a great book if you enjoy books with fun and mystery. Jessie and Evan come to their grandma's house to take care of her after she broke her wrist. Their grandma has a bell on top of a hill. Every year on New Year's Eve Jessie and Evan go to the top of the hill to ring the bell. But this year the bell is gone. Jessie and Evan go on a hunt to find the bell. Can they figure out who took it? You should read the book to find out. I highly recommend you read this book!

Fablehaven: Rise of the Evening Star has just become the best book I have ever read! It starts off from the first book, when Kendra and Seth find themselves back at Fablehaven after some trouble in their world. At Fablehaven, three new people have been employed. However, a betrayal strikes and Fablehaven is in chaos again. My notes- if you liked the first book, this is one hundred times better! It is filled with suspense, action, mystery (lots and lots), and awesomely surprising surprises! In the second volume of an amazing series, nothing is as it seems! I couldn't put it down- I've read a lot of books but this has seriously awed me. My suggestion when reading this? No matter what, don't skip around, because you might see something that would ruin it for you.

This book surprised me from the very beginning! It was an excellent read, and - BONUS - it's a summer reading book! Fourteen-year-old Kendra feels abandoned when her parents leave her and eleven-year-old Seth at Grandpa and Grandma Sorenson's (who they BARELY KNOW) house while Mom and Dad go on a cruise. Kendra finally finds all the keys to open the mysterious journal...but it's blank? WHAT'S GOING ON? The only words are - DRINK THE MILK. In this book abby and jonah go in the story of cinderella and there they try not to mess up her story but ends up doing so first they end up in the ball where cinderella and the prince meet then they check the palace for a magical mirror so they can go back home but they don't find but they know that cinderella will leave at midnight so they follow her to her house to check if the magic mirror is there but they get caught jonah tell her her future but so she lets them use her house but the sisters come so they hide under their their beds the go to her at midnight and then they swell her feet and they ask fairy godmother whose name is faira to fix her Foot so the slipper fits and she doesn't have to clean for her stepfamily anymore and leave them but she told cinderella that unless she can stand on her own she won't fix her leg meanwhile kayla who got to talk to the prince and thought that he liked her but then cinderella showed up and the prince went away so kayla was moping all day long.And cinderela thought of getting a job . First she tried stitching, then she tried baking brownies and she baked four batches to make them right and Abby thought that none of the people living in flume knows what brownies are. She decided to call them Cinderella's crownies . first they get 5 dollars then they get 120 dollars but just as faira is about to zap everything back to normal but just at that moment the stepmother and beatrice and kayla burst in .and beatrice said she eavesdropped everyday and then the stepmom,betty turned kayla into a rat abby jonah and cinderella into mice and faira into a scaly lizard and when the princes advisor came to their house and betty zapped her daughters feet so the would fit the tiny shoe and then all the creature humans ran got the wand back and then prince jordan proposed to cinderella and she said no because kayla loved him more than she did and then cinderella batted her eyelashes at gary the goatee guy and then faira and jonah said that the portal to ome is the chimney and they learned that mary rose is a fairy and when they get home abby does the laundry for the first time .
