Doble Fudge / Double Fudge (Spanish Edition)

Doble Fudge / Double Fudge (Spanish Edition)

By Judy Blume

Double Fudge, by Judy Blume, is about tolerance. When Fudge Hatcher was five, he asked his older brother Peter Hatcher how much New York cost. After Peter answered the question, Fudge was obsessed with money. He even planned to buy the entire world, or at least Toys “R” Us. The family had to tolerate that. It was already enough trouble, but then Fudge’s pet Myna bird stopped talking. He tolerated it, but refused to tell the other family members about this, until Peter caught Fudge imitating it. Soon, their long-lost relatives, the Howie Hatchers, came to their building. It was really annoying, and then their other little brother, Mini, swallowed one of Fudges’ lost teeth! I recommend this book for boys and girls, grades third to sixth.

We Dream of Space

We Dream of Space

By Erin Entrada Kelly

I loved “We Dream of Space” by Erin Estrada Kelly. Reading the book from three different perspectives, I soon learned to love Cash, Fitch, and Bird for who they are. Heartbroken at Bird’s attempt to try and fix her broken family, feeling bad for Fitch when all he wanted to do was be nice but was pressured to make fun of a girl, and Cash, who is one year behind and doesn’t think he is good as anything. As the story goes on and the plot unfolds you will see the characters unfold as well. Bird looking forward to the space shuttle “Challenger” launching into space only to find out that it exploded 73 seconds after takeoff. Fitch calling Amanda Piper, who really is a nice girl, a fat ugly cow because she calls him Henry instead of his real name. Cash dreaming of being liked by his crush, Penny, only to find out she is dating a “nerd” called Charlie. The three must stick together to face all these hard problems together. This book totally deserves its Newbery Honor Medal in every single way! Have fun reading this book :)

Abe Lincoln at Last! (Magic Tree House)

Abe Lincoln at Last! (Magic Tree House)

By Mary Pope Osborne

Jack and Annie went back in time. They needed to get a feather to undo a spell that Teddy accidentally did on Penny the Penguin. They met Abraham Lincoln. Abe Lincoln played a trick on them - he was acting like a different person. At the end of the book, they still need to go on some more missions to get things to undo the spell. I loved this book so much that I read it three times. 😍 😃 😁

The Emperor's Code (The 39 Clues, Book 8)

The Emperor's Code (The 39 Clues, Book 8)

By Gordon Korman

Have you ever wanted to be a detective when you were younger? This book is exactly what you're looking for. This book has mysteries, clues, investigations and so many more things. There's even a card game about this book! This book series is called The 39 Clues to the Emperor's code. The author is Gordon Korman. This is the 8th book. The book focuses on the two main characters which are brother and sister. The brother and sister have many adventures going to ancient temples, ruins, caves and so many more! But that's not all they travel to many parts of the world that you might now even think of. During their adventures to places they meet great characters that might be seen in the future of the books. They also meet great villains or people that are against them. The story consists of physical and mental battles that you have never seen before. I think this book has a great story and really shows how a character feels. The book really explains different things very thoroughly so that it's a little easier to understand. But what this book can improve is the physical understanding. I said that the book very nicely explains things thoroughly, but I meant in explaining lets say an object and what it's able to do. On the other hand when something like a fight is happening they don't really explain enough details to know that this fight is a fight to be remembered. I think that for all the people that might like mysteries and adventures this is the one for you. If you love exploration this is also a perfect pick of something you might like because of how they go to different places. If you like action you might like this book a little less just because the intense moments are not the best moments. But overall I think this book is great but also something about this book is that I haven't read the first or anything after, so some things were confusing so although this is very interesting i highly recommend getting the first one or anything before.

Vespers Rising (The 39 Clues, Book 11)

Vespers Rising (The 39 Clues, Book 11)

By Rick Riordan, Peter Lerangis, Gordon Korman, Jude Watson

So the book was very interesting and it caught my attention because of its name. If it had another name I wouldn't choose it because 39 clues is an interesting name. And also in the back of the book it had a summary of the book which was interesting. (THE 39 CLUES) The book number is 39 because of the amount of series there are. And the author is Rick Ridordan, an American author. He is known for writing the Percy Jackson & the Olympians series, about a teenager named Percy Jackson who discovers he is a son of the Greek god Poseidon. Riordan's books have been translated into forty-two languages and sold more than thirty million copies in the US. His books have spawned related media, such as graphic novels and short story collections. And also there are more authors like peter lerangis, gordon korman, and finally jude watson. The book is about a Fourteen-year-old Amy Cahill and her younger brother Dan who thought they could return to their regular lives when they found the 39 clues. But the Vespers, powerful enemies, will stop at nothing to get the clues. And with the Vespers rising, the world is in jeopardy. The book is good because it gives a lot of detail and fun. And it is important to read the book because it has a lot of facts for 12/13 year olds and the events in the story compared to real life are similar. I enjoyed reading the book because it is interesting and also has 238 pages and I finished reading it in 21 days. I recommend you to read it because it is a good book. The book 39 CLUES VESPERS RISING is a good option for people my age 12/13 years old because it has a good amount of pages and is interesting. Also, the language is simple for anyone to read without using a dictionary or google to search for difficult words. I recommend you to read it because it is very interesting.

In Too Deep (The 39 Clues, Book 6)

In Too Deep (The 39 Clues, Book 6)

By Jude Watson

Have you ever looked for a clue but while battling others? Amy and her brother Dan are in Sydney in the beginning of the book and instantly they are faced by an enemy and that changes the book forever. The book is called the 39 Clues : IN TOO DEEP this is pretty ironic because they realize later in the book they realize what big of a bad situation they have got themselves into. The author’s name is Jude Watson and this is so funny because her real name is Judy Blundell. This book is in a series and this specific book is number 6. I don't think it would be necessary to read the books before this because I didn't and I understood everything but I think it would be nice just because then you would have more of an idea of characterization and the build up of personality. The book is basically about Dan and Amy following their parents footsteps and joining in for the chase of the 39 clues. Why, you may ask? Well they were offered a lot of money, or a chase for clues that would give them way more. During the journey they meet some interesting families that are also in the chase. They also meet family members in desperate times of help but little do they know they might be evil. They face deadly challenges and competitors that drive them to find every single clue. During the series they are dragged to many different countries to find different clues but in this book they are in Australia which makes them try new things and their enemies have tricks coming from ancestors with a different culture. This book is very good. I really like it because it keeps the reader engaged at all times. I feel like the reader could have made the characters themselves more interesting instead of the situation because in most parts of the book the situations are so engaging and sometimes even scary which I find great but it would be nicer to have some of those genres and traits in the characters rather than everything around them. But in general I feel like this book has a good hook and climax and it really makes me feel like I am in the scene. This is really good because it makes me imagine and I can dream and dream about what can happen here and there. It is fun to read and I could never get tired of this book because it just is so exciting and different. Overall, I really like this book and I'm pretty sure anyone that likes to read books that have crazy plot twists will really enjoy this book. I feel like this book has a lot of different genres and themes.

Adventures from the Land of Stories: The Mother Goose Diaries

Adventures from the Land of Stories: The Mother Goose Diaries

By Chris Colfer

This book was very good ! You get to know another side of the sarcastic old Mother Goose. One of my favorite parts was the gander part. I thought it was funny. I pretty much liked all of It! It explains some history such as royals, plagues, civil, women and LGBT rights. I also thought it was funny when she found Amelia Earhart. This is a great book to get to know Mother Goose more. It will make you laugh out loud.
