I got this in a free book giveaway. I love it! There are so many cool facts!! I wish I could give it 100 stars.

Not The best of the series. But still quite good. The writing is wonderful. The world Sutherland has created is vibrant and complex and oh so amazing well thought out for a middle grade series. Or frankly, for ANY epic fantasy series. I loved finally getting to see the Icewing culture, even though it was terribly depressing & must be so hard on all those poor Icewing dragonets. I'm loving how far the Darkstalker legend has come, has been expanded for the ghost stories of the terrified Nightwings in book 5. And it was great getting to know these new dragonets better. (Although I still can't figure out why they are suddenly so loyal to each other after knowing each other for like 5 days.) The story itself was well crafted and fun, with hints of "oh my god, this stuff is kinda dark, why is it for kids?" Thrown in. Like all the other "Wings of Fire" books. But, sadly, I didn't find "Winter Turning" QUITE as enjoyable as previous books. And again, sadly, I had to give it only 3 stars instead of a super excited 5 or 4. Mostly, due to Winter himself. It was painful, being stuck in his head. :( so sad, because I usually love the tortured soul, angry & sad type heroes. I found him annoying and whiney and mean. Why did Moon spend so much time telling how good & great he is? All I saw was a super whiny little dragon. A hateful dragon. I get that he spent his whole life being told to basically hate all other tribes, (& having unpleasable parents) but come on. It was a bit over the top.... And then the over the top-ness of it was undermined by how quickly he got over it all. Although I did feel how much he missed and loved Hailstorm so that was good. He just wasn't a very likable character. :( I know that they don't always have to be, but I was so looking forward to this book and this character & I felt so let down. :/ It wasn't a bad book really. It just wasn't as great as it could have been. I felt Winter could have been a great character. But really he was just obnoxious. At least I only had to deal with one book in his point of view. The series is still one of my favorites, so I look forward to reading and reviewing the next book "Escaping Peril" Recommended to fans of dragons, the rest of the series, and lovers of epic fantasy.

This book is about a girl named Mari Who has gone to the United States after being born in Mexico. After entering America without documents, She and her Family are on the run while they haven't found Mari's Mother who is lost.They end up on a Dairy Farm in Vermont Where another Kid name Tyler and his family has their own problems. Tyler is open to Mari and her sisters But they, specifically Mari, are very shy and reluctant towards Tyler's Kindness. At this moment in the story, Tyler's family wants Mari's Grandma in a Nursing Home and Mari's mom is lost. They Gave Mari's Mom the new number for the new place they are at now. If you want to know more, Read the book! My Favorite Character is Tyler because he is very relatable. My Least Favorite Character is Mari's Dad. He is way too overprotective of Mari. This Book Reminds me of Esperanza Rising Because they both have something to do with immigration and having to move from your old home because it was taken away. If you like drama, heartbreak or both I think you should check out Breadwinner and/or Esperanza Rising. they are both really interesting and will make you feel sad but happy and impressed but overwhelmed but their amazingness. For his entire life, Cooper has been known by simply "Whatshisface". Since he moves a lot because of his dad's job, he doesn't usually stick around long enough to get to know other kids. So his parents get him and his sister a phone. Cooper is super excited to finally have one! But his seems to malfunction...there's the blotches in pictures, the weird noises during the middle of the night, and finally...a voice. "Hello? Hello? Can anyone hear me?" Cooper's phone is possessed-by a kid from the 1500s! Cooper and Roddy become friends. Roddy's "eyes" are the camera and his "ears" are the phone's speaker. This is a super short read, and this book is HILARIOUS! The plot gets thicker and thicker but it is laughable because of Roddy's attempts to help Cooper in his 1500s way and his unbelief and amazement at everyday modern items! But it turns out Roddy isn't the normal (well...not exactly normal LOL) kid that he seems....*wink, wink* READ THE BOOK!

This is a really great book about friendship and love. There are terrible things that happen in this book like being wrongly helped captive, but the main character can find friendship in the darkest of places.

I loved this book because it is full of adventure and is action packed with mystery and spies I definitely recommend this book to kids everywhere is doesn't matter about genders it is for everyone.

I use to have the book from the library but I could not finish it in time😢😢

Princess Diana, also known as Princess With A Purpose, was kind and caring. She was born on July 1, 1961, at the Park House in Sandringham, England. Her family was always close to the royal family and was very rich. When Princess Diana was young, she loved sports; especially swimming. She also liked to help people too. Even though she got bad grades, she was still smart at everything else. Later, when she was a young lady, she met Prince Charles. Soon after, she got married to Prince Charles. Together, they had two children. Shortly after their marriage, they got divorced. Then, she started dating Dodi Fayed. She still spent time helping people. One night, Princess Diana and Dodi went on a date. They wanted to not let photographers take a picture of them. So, they hopped into their car and started driving. But, the photographers went into their cars and started chasing them. So, Dodi and Diana went faster and faster. Then, they crashed. The driver and Dodi were dead. Diana was brought to the hospital. Shortly after, Diana died.

I love this book so much. Sonia Sotomayor was born in the Bronx to Juan and Celina Sotomayor, who were immigrants from Puerto Rico. Th Sotomayors worked hard to provide for their growing family. Sonia's parents worked at factories and hospitals. Her family was sweet, happy, and generous family. Sonia's family did not have it all good though. Her father lost his job, so Celina had to pick up extra shifts to provide for her family. Also, Sonia became a diabetic at a young age. This made her have to take responsibility for her diabetes, meaning she would have to inject herself with insulin because her mother was unable because of her work. As Sonia grew up, she began to pursue a carrier in law. She was familiar with this subject because of the many Nancy Drews she read and the many episodes of Perry Mason she watched on TV. In this book she is described as a legend. And she really is. She worked beside many famous lawyers including Ruth Badger Ginsburg. She lived life to its fullest because she never knew when her illness would get the best of her. Through it all, Sonia stood tall and became the first Latina US Supreme Court justice. She was not afraid to get her hands dirty, even if meant putting her life in jeopardy. I suggest this for the world's next Supreme Justices and people fascinated with judges, lawyers, and amazing people.

I like the Who was? series and when I saw this in the classroom library I knew I wanted to get it. Malala has always intrested me because of how she fought back at not even age fifteen. After reading this book now I know so much about Malala and the taliban. I reccomend this book for second grade to sixth grade.
