I started reading the Captain Underpants when I was in 3rd Grade. Now I'm going into the the 8th Grade and I practically grew up with the Captain Underpants series. The tenth installment in the series picks up right where the ninth novel left off, with the the time-traveling Tippy Tinkletrousers apparently having defeated the jovial hero. Luckily, the good guys and the bad guys both have access to time-traveling machines, so the story forms an intricate web of action that was entertaining to the reader. Over the course of the book, the characters relive historical events like the Big Bang, the extinction of dinosaurs, the start of the Ice Age, the world's first comic, and more. My favorite part of the books are the Flip-O-Ramas. They're actually really cool, and it makes the book seem more visual, even with the comical illustrations. I love Dav Pilkey's books, but I feel like this is the last Captain Underpants book that I will be reading in quite a long time. It had all the outrageous humor that I had remembered, and even though it's not in my reading range anymore, I somewhat enjoyed it. ~ifeelbookish

Have you ever heard about alicorns? Well an alicorn is a horse with wings and a horn that can teleport— just one of the many magical beings that you’ll read about in “Keeper of the Lost Cities: Book 2”. Sophie Foster finds an alicorn and the alicorn transmits that her name is Silveny. When Sophie finished getting her mind fixed she almost got kidnapped again. Luckily the Black Swan stepped in and helped her. During the process Silveny hurt her wing. Sophie and Silveny were supposed to make a grand opening to the sanctuary. Sophie realized she could teleport so she rode on Silveny and teleported her there.When Sophie was moving up a level, the Foxfire always had a party. When it was the upper grades turn Alden saw Whylie and he fainted. This happened because Alden had a broken mind. Elves thought no one can heal a broken mind but Sophie saved Alden because she was made that way. A theme I saw in the book was “never give up” when Sophie saw that Alden had a broken mind. She started crying in the beginning. She kept getting told that no one can fix a broken mind. But when the Black Swan said that she could fix her mind issues so that she could fix others like Alden and Prentice. She went and they said that they made her heal minds so right after she got limbulim she had a bad allergic reaction. Sophie still kept fighting because she wasn’t going to leave Alden like that after what he did for her— she never gave up. Now I am going to tell you about a few characters. Sophie Foster is mostly good at everything. She has many powers and that is rare. Dex is Sophie’s best friend. He is smart and people say that his parents are a bad match. Keefe is an Empath and always has been at Sophie’s side and he could feel Sophie’s emotions. Some buildings in the elvin world are similar to the world we live in. In the Elf world there are Gates, Big houses, Gardens and Caves. A part of the book that can be improved is when Sophie gets fixed and kidnappers try to get her. Wouldn’t the Black swan know already because they know things right away? That’s just one of the things that confused me and distracted me from the plot. Overall, Exile was confusing but still a good book even though it has some rough spots. I still give it 5 stars because it is a very adventurous book with all kinds of exciting events, like hunting down bigfoot, flying on an alicorn, or going into exile. I also really enjoyed the diversity of characters and the important themes portrayed in the novel. In conclusion, I would definitely recommend this book to kids my age around 9-10 years old.

It's time for Nikki Maxwell to kick back and relax! It's the month of July, which is supposed to be the height of summer, and she's canceled an all-expenses-paid Paris trip to go on the Bad Boyz tour with her friends, who are also her bandmates. Nikki's ready to have Actually, I'm Not Really Sure Yet go viral and have fun in the sun! But everything changes when the overseer of the tour, Trevor Chase, hires MacKenzie Hollister as the band's social media publicity manager. Yes, MacKenzie Hollister, mean girl extraordinaire and the fake in lipstick - remember her? Suddenly, Nikki's prospects for a lighthearted, time-of-their-lives tour goes down the drain. MacKenzie does absolutely nothing to help the tour, is Nikki's roommate, and worst, manipulates behind the scenes to 1) shatter Nikki and Brandon's relationship, 2) close down Fuzzy Friends, and 3) blackmail Nikki into letting her perform for the Bad Boyz! The dream tour soon turns into a nightmare. The Bad Boyz are fighting amongst themselves, too. Can Nikki and her band save the show?

This is around my first time reading DORK DIARIES! I haven't read this one yet, but the other one I read was cool. If that one was cool the others will probably be just as good. To me the writing looks exactly like DIARY OF A WIMPY KID! The pictures are different, but it's still written like if a kid wrote. In this case it's Niki's diary so it's like she actually wrote these words even though a grown up named Rachel R. Russell wrote it! I LOVE DORK DIARY! I recommend that you start reading Dork Diary I guarantee you'll get hooked!

THIS BOOK IS GOOD!!! I read it when I was a kid, and I would totally read it again. A funny way for young children to begin their reading journey. Junie B. is funny, and realistic. The author has done great capturing the essence of a child. WAY TO GO!

This story tells of a story of a rookie pitcher. There was a catcher named Mickey and he was on a team called the Orals. Soon a new picture comes and some of the kids make fun of him but they will soon find out how good he is. In the pitchers first game he did great. And then on Wensday the team finds out how he saved a women's life from choking. A dig game was coming up agents the greatest team in the area the Yankees. If you love books with baseball or sports you should read this book.

Because of "Mr Terupt" by Rob Buyea is an amazing book. It takes places at the beginning of fifth grade in Snow Hill School. The book switches between the points of view Jessica, Alexia, Peter, Luke, Danielle, Anna, and Jeffrey. Jessica is a smart new girl who is having a hard time fitting in. Alexia is a bully who can't decide between being mean or nice. Peter is the class clown and troublemaker. Luke is an academic sort of person. Danielle is teased and doesn't stand up for herself. Anna is an outcast because of her family situation, and Jeffrey despises school. Then they get a brand new teacher named Mr. Terupt who makes school fun. He helps the students get along and become friends. After a horrible tragedy happens, the students learn that even when Mr. Terupt is not there, he still brings them together.I heard Rob Buyea speak about his book at a library. A lot of the things that happen in the book happened in Rob Buyea's classroom, when he taught fourth or fifth grade. I was surprised at how energetic and dramatic Rob Buyea was while he was speaking. It was really interesting to learn how Because of Mr. Terupt was written. Something I really liked about this book was the dollar word project that the students in Mr. Terupt's class did. A is one cent, B is two cents, C is three cents, and so on. The students had to write words whose letters added up to 100 cents, or $1.00. Mr. Terupt was only called Mr. Terupt because Terupt is a dollar word. Examples of dollar words are flurry, grumpy, savory, and awfully. I thought this was a great read. It was moving and showed how people's attitudes towards life can change for the better. I highly suggest it.

"Kickoff" by Tiki and Ronde Barber tells the childhood of two NFl brothers, Tiki and Ronde Barber. They are kids going into middle school. They were smart kids until middle school because of the new change.They play football on the streets everyday after school.The towns council wants to build a factory but it will pollute the air. Their mom stands up against the town's council. The brothers sign up for football and have tryouts. They find out what position and string they play. They go and practice with the teams best quarterback. They sit on the bench most of the games. The teams 1st string running back got injured and Tiki becomes the new back up. Tiki got mad at the coach and the coach puts him in and he bluffs it up. At the last game they both play. Tiki and Ronde Barber were good football players who learned sometimes if you be patient you will get your chance. They both inspired me and if you read this book hopefully you will be inspired too.
