Dawn is a total nature advocate! So, when Dawn is assigned to do a project in ecology class, she is super excited. With the help of Stacey, Dawn starts a class for little kids, teaching them the importance of recycling and how to stop pollution. But she's not done! Dawn wants to start a recycle center at the school too. She needs a lot of help but unfortunately, she's frustrating everyone! She's even bossing Stacey and the other BSC girls around. Dawn only meant to do the right thing, but did she maybe step too far? I thought this book was really interesting and fun! I taught the importance of protecting our planet. It also showed the importance of treating people well and teaching that you can't save the planet on your own. I suggest it if you like science, friendship, and babysitting. Happy reading!

Three, two, one, GO! Like in Big Fat Liar, Rafe Khatchadorian's book is in Georgia's hands. She starts off by writing about her egg "throwing" competition, which is basically just throwing eggs off a roof and seeing which one won'y crack. She puts an egg in a box, while her brother, Rafe, puts it in a bunch of bubble-wrap. Her egg fell nicely, and so did Rafe's. However, Rafe's egg shell bounced. And that amazed the entire class, including Georgia's crush, Sam Marks. She is later assigned with a Rube Goldberg machine project, along with a group known as the Princess Patrol, AKA Missy Trillin and her friends. But the one other thing she is looking forwards to is her band, We Stink. When her absolute favorite band, Lulu and the Handbags, is pulling up a competition where the BEST band gets to sing with Lulu, Georgia is determined to win. She puts out websites, a Wikipedia article, an account for every social media platform EVER, and even sang for elementary schools! Her life goes up to the sky when she wins the contest! But it immediately goes down when she falls down the stage of Lulu's concert. Her brother records it, and she goes insanely viral on YouTube. This book is about Ada, a kid who likes to explore things. She even climbed up the clock when she was young because she was so curious. When she got older, she wrote all of her thoughts about smells and what was stinky on the wall. At school, she made bottles spray everywhere. Everyone liked this except the teacher. I think other people would like this book. I really like this book and would like to read it again some time. Kids who are scientists will like this book. I am a scientist. 😳 ☺️ 😜 😘

I love ancient Greek mythology. It is so cool! I can name the twelve Olympians. Zeus, Hera, Demeter, Apollo, Poseidon, Hermes, Aphrodite, Ares, Hephaestus,Athena, Artemis,and so on. I like Medusa, sirens, the three Gorgons, and other stuff. So if you like Greek mythology, read this! I love myths because they are so unusual. Did you know that Poseidon's girlfriend was Medusa? Did you know that Hera threw Hephaestus the off of Mount Olympus, the highest peak in Greece? Whoa! Athens was named after Athena. This stuff is cool! Hades is the god of the underworld. Nemesis is the minor god of revenge.

These series (Weird But True) are just AMAZING and FUNNY! They give you information you never knew about and just makes it HILARIOUS!! National Geographic has done a STUNNING JOB at making these books. There educational, funny, filled with jokes, laughter, fun facts and MORE!!! Bravo National Geographic!!!!! 👍👍🤯🤯👏👏🤩🤩

In the newest and expanded edition of the Weird But True series, is a book entirely filled with very fun and interesting facts. It will entertain you with nice pictures and photos + things you probably haven't known before. Covering over a wide range of topics, from food to pop culture, this National Geographic book will not disappoint you.

Usually I would rate Nat Geo books 4 stars and above, but for this book I will rate it 3 stars because I was very disappointed in it. So the facts did not appeal to me, only one did. It was, in San Francisco, people call the fog, "Karl." The rest of the facts weren't really interesting. They were just talking about what people did. Like a man ate __ hot dogs in __ seconds. But I want to read about naturey stuff. Real stuff. That is what fascinates me. Not what people do. Because I don't care about records or stuff. I only like animals and historic event facts and etc. Sorry but I did not like this book as much as the other Weird But True books.

My favorite character in the book is the orange cat Precious because she has hypnotizing powers, and hides treasure in her safe.

I think this is the first classic book that I actually ENJOYED. I read the "kids" version for a book report in 3rd grade and really enjoyed it. The "full" version is even better. I liked how Jack London showed what BUCK thought at the moment since many other books hide the feelings of a dog. Overall, very fun to read. I'd recommend for Grades 5+
