i think these books are funny and they are a kinda book I wouldn't leave in the basement in the dust and I actually have the whole collection! xD

Lillie has lived as a slave with her mama and papa and her younger brother Plato, at Greenfog Plantation her whole life. When the Confederate Army promised freedom for the family of any slave who serves in the War Between the States, Lillie's papa decides to serve in the army to give him and his family freedom. But Lillie and her family receives news that papa had been killed in the war, they aren't freed. The Confederate Army claims that he was a thief and stole a pouch of Yankee gold, so they broke the promise. Lillie knew that her papa wouldn't steal anything. Could she prove that her papa is innocent and free her mama and Plato? I really liked the story and Lillie's determination to help prove that her father is not a thief. I would recommend this book for anyone who wants to read about what life was like to a slave.

I think it is a very good book it is interesting because it is about a girl Raspberry gets money for her and her mom so they would have have a place to stay and i think her mother really apprieciattes it

However, the next few days run incredibly smoothly and Kristy and the others are starting to like this new change. But when Nannie decides to leave because she thinks she’s not needed (or wanted) and Emily Michelle gets the flu, will “Super Mom” collapse under the pressure? This book was amusing. It depicted a practical family, but it was done masterfully so you are still getting fictional entertainment. Kristy’s family is disorganized but also very much lovable. It’s easy to fall in love with the family. But mixed in with the charm and humor, there were also very good life lessons. One being the fact that doing hard things on your own only hurts you and eventually others. The book stresses the point that asking for help is not shameful but, in fact, honorable. I appreciated the reminder. I walked away from reading this book feeling refreshed and motivated. I suggest this book if you like family, babysitting, and friendship. Happy reading!

Emmie always has been shy and quite. Emmie is 13 and in 7th grade . Emmie has a brother and a sister. But they are a lot older then emmie. Emmie's parents called her the "Oops baby " . But she doesn't like to think of that 😂 . Katie is really the opposite of emmie. She is pretty , talky , and very popular. Emmie now has a big crush on Tyler Ross . which happens to be katie's "boyfriend ." Read the entire book for the HUGE twist at the end. This is one of the best books I have ever read before. Have you ever moved to a completely different place? That's what happened to Lucy. Half a chance by Cynthia Lord is a book about a girl who moves to New Hampshire. Lucy met a boy named Nate who was only there for the summer with grandmother and his family. Lucy and Nate became really good friends. Lucy likes to take pictures and her and Nate do a photography contest. Them and Nate's older sister do something called loon patrol. Which it they check on the loons and see how many there are and what they do. But Nate's old friend Megan gets really jealous because she wants to be Nate's only friend. One major conflict is that Megan deletes some of Lucy's pictures, which was also a turning point. Another one is Lucy's dad is the judge for the contest Lucy and Nate do. The protagonist is Lucy and Megan is the antagonist. I really liked this book I really hope you like it too.

She is scared and wants to prove to her friends (who don't believe her) that she is NOT making things up. When she shows them a picture of the ghost they kinda wanna believe her but they don't completely... shocking evidence comes up and the mystery is solved!
