Alice's Adventures in Wonderland-- What would you do if you fell down a rabbit hole and entered a whole other world? The setting of this book is the rabbit hole/wonderland and the time takes place in the mid 1800's. The main character who is also the protagonist, Alice who just out of curiosity follows the white rabbit down his hole and ends up taking a long journey through wonderland. In this book the antagonist is all of the characters that Alice meets along the way because they try to baffle and confuse her. Throughout Alice's journey she sees and meets many different creatures, enemies, and friends. Will they help Alice along the way? One of the conflicts are on the last chapter, during the trial, when Alice is called to give evidence. She calls the creatures by their name: ‘nothing but a pack of cards’ and they all come flying down on her in rage. Will Alice ever get out of wonderland? Find out by reading this amazing book. It was really.good! 5 stars I hate that in ends without telling you if they make the boy a vampire or not. 😥

The story of the Ickabog shows just how quickly a little lie can turn into a never-ending deception. In Cornucopia, each part of the kingdom is known for having a specialty food that they are the best at making, like cheeses or pastries. Best friends Daisy and Bert have heard the rumors and legend of the Ickabog, a massive monster that eats people, but they always knew they were just stories... or were they? When a shepherd from the Marshlands, a far out and rural part of the kingdom, says the Ickabog ate his dog, ruler King Fred the Fearless doesn't believe him at first. Fred thinks going to investigate the Ickabog would be the perfect opportunity to prove that he could be a good king with no risk after people had begun to call him selfish, vain, and cruel, since the Ickabog was only a myth... right? His advisors Spittleworth and Flapoon concoct a story of lies after an accident on the journey about encountering the real Ickabog with King Fred saving the day, and it spreads through Cornucopia faster than Bert can eat a Hopes-of-Heaven pastry. Taxes and defense brigades are put in place to help protect from the supposed Ickabog, even though Spittleworth knows he made it all up, and the only thing the defense brigade taxes were helping was the flow of money into his pockets. Daisy and Bert are determined to thwart Spittleworth after learning some shocking information, and they are ready to do whatever it takes to restore peace to the kingdom. But Spittleworth is dangerous, threatening to kill and imprison their families if they don't stay quiet. It's a battle of the wits to determine who will come out on top. This book was AMAZING! I love a good fairytale, and this book did not disappoint! J.K. Rowling worked her magic again into this page-turner that will keep your imagination running. The suspense, adventure, plot-twists and complex characters really made this book enjoyable, and I loved every minute of it. I was transported into a magical world with endless possibilities as I read this book! The colorful illustrations made by kids throughout the book were the cherry on top! I would definitely recommend this book to anyone in need of a great fairytale, and I would recommend it for ages 8+.

Stars Above is basically a collection of nine stories that take place before and after the actual series. The Keeper is about Michelle Benoit retrieving Cinder and keeping her safe and growing. Glitches is about eleven year old Cinder meeting her step-family. The Queen’s Army is about Ze’ev (Wolf) being taken from his family to be part of the queen’s wolf mutant pack. Carswell’s Guide to Being Lucky is about thirteen year old Thorne and his middle school experience before he was put in prison. After Sunshine Passes By is about nine year old Cress being transferred to the satellite to be the queen’s personal hacker. The Princess and the Guard is about how Princess Winter got her scars, how she went crazy, and how Jacin became a palace guard instead of pursuing his dream of being a doctor. The next one is The Little Android, which talks about an android, Mech6.0. The one after that is The Mechanic, which is basically the scene where Cinder and Kai meet, except it’s in Kai’s point of view. The final one is Something Old, Something new, which takes place two years after the dethroning of Queen Levana. SPOILER: Scarlet and Wolf get married, and Kai proposes. 💞 There’s also an extra excerpt from another one of Meyer’s book, Heartless. Overall, Stars Above was fun to read because the author gave an extra perspective of the characters’ life before and after the main four books. I loved it! 🩷

This story is a great read for little girls and boys who love fairy-tales. It is a bit different from the regular Cinderella fairy-tale though. Cinderella is going to Grimm Academy. Of course, Cindy's evil step sisters ruin how school is going for her. They put her down and try and make her seem like she is an embarrassment. The evil step sisters don't stop their evilness there. They are plotting something evil to destroy the royal ball. Cinderella and her new friends must stop the evil duo before midnight arrives. This tale is one no kid will forget.

But when Cinder's stepsister, Peony, contracts letumosis, and it's blamed on Cinder, Cinder is "donated" to plague research by her stepmother, Adri. Correction: Cinder would die. But Dr. Erland, the scientist running the research on letumosis, finds out something very special about Cinder - something others would die for. One more thing - when Cinder learns of a huge plot to take over Earth from a guilt-ridden Lunar spy, she rushes to tell Kai at his coronation - and finds herself being given the death penalty by none other than Queen Levana herself. This book was incredible, really, spectacular - it was so, so amazing! This is probably the farthest thing from the original fairy-tale of Cinderella - it's much more dark, complicated, and twisted - but it still keeps its roots in the original fairy-tale version. I have never met such a vivid, wild cast of characters - from resilient and resourceful Cinder, to the deliciously wicked Queen Levana. Every page sucked me in, and I really couldn't stop reading - page after page after page, and I found it really.. really hard to read the last chapter or two because there was so much tension - it was wonderful! I rarely give five stars to a book, especially a fantasy book, but congratulations, "Cinder" - you've won me over.

This is a junior novelization of the new live action of Beauty and The Beast. Belle is different from every girl in the village since she can read. When her father gets lost in the woods, he is forced to go in the beast's castle to seek refuge. He is imprisoned until Belle goes after him to take his place. Belle develops a friendship and eventually falls in love with The Beast breaking the spell that changes him back to being a human being. I really enjoyed this book because Beauty and the Beast is my favorite movie.

It's the best book ever, so far! I totally recommend! I LOVE DISNEY DESCENDANTS! I have every single DISNEY DESENCENDANTS book possible. My favourite characters are MAL AND CARLOS, but mostly MAL!

Visually stunning. The illustrations are so beautiful and eye catching it can be easy to get off track of such an important message. Based on a tribe's opposition to a pipeline being constructed near their water source, it is a reminder that indigenous violations and environmental concerns are still being violated today. There is a compelling message here among the inspirational writing style. A complement to any library's diversified collection to include native voices.

Egg and Spoon is a Russian story about a peasant girl called Elena Rudina who lives in a countryside village, and a girl called Ekaterina, or Cat, who lives among a wealthy family and is heading to the Tsar. Elena's father passed away several years ago, her mother is very ill, and one of Elena's brothers are in the Tsar's army, Elena wishes to have some food, as they are too poor. Meanwhile, Cat is on a train heading towards St Petersburg. Afterwards, an accident happened, and both of the girls changed places, Elena on the train, and Cat in the village. Elena finds a firebird egg and Cat finds Baba Yaga(a witch in Russian legends) and her chicken legged house. At the end, Prince Anton(a prince that escaped from the Tsar's palace), Cat, Elena and Baba Yaga travel to the North Pole and meet an ice dragon who cannot sleep because of everyone's endless wants and wishes, and who is melting the ice with his fiery breath. Cat and Elena become good friends! This book is very magical and adventurous, full of Russian folk stories. I absolutely recommend it for everyone!
