Kwame Alexander is the author of the book The Crossover - The reader is a basketball who describe himself with metaphor and simile has the best and his father who played in the Euro league of basketball and he's a dad health problem and his mom. The setting of The Crossover takes place at school and it takes place in the gym and at home . The main characters in The Crossover Is JB and Josh Bell the twins and their father Da Man and their Mom. Reader are introduced with funking names and it about boy who known for playing basketball and his twin brother and the readers talks about their father playing in the Euro Basketball League and there mom has their parents in their it also has some feeling to it with his dad's health problem. Alexander writing style is a poetic writing with describe the characters and it get to point of a feeling and gives me a sense of the setting like when jb and josh are on the court playing basketball and how his father played in the Euro Basketball League and I have enjoy this book because it's all about basketball and how the author used lot of rhyming. For Example This is the quote from the book the crossover “At the top of the key I’m MOVING & GROOVING POPping & ROCKING flossing flipping and my dipping will leave you slipping on the floor while I swoop in to the finish with fierce finger roll straight hole swoooooooooooosh. The Crossover Book is a amazing book it made think of a place writing all poetic things to image things about jb playing basketball it made see a boy who loves to play ball with his twin brother and a life of tough times and it's good for people love sports and tough times. The Crossover won John Newbery the Honor Award and the Coretta Scott Key Award. Kwame Alexander published the book 2014 Alexander grew up in Reston Virginia.

To be honest, I absolutely love the I Survived series. The whole series is basically in the point of view of a person who survived a war, a horrible event, a terrorism attack, etc. It's basically a history book, but it sounds like a narrative and it's really to-the-point. This book is about Lucas, who loves football. When he gets a concussion during practice, the doctor says that his concussion is really bad for an 11-year-old. Lucas' parents decide that the sport is too dangerous, now that he has a concussion. Lucas has to talk to Uncle Benny, who taught him everything about football. He hopes that Uncle Benny can change his parents' mind. So, Lucas skips school and visits Uncle Benny (who is a firefighter in New York) and his dad, who works with Uncle Benny in the fire department. While they are talking, they were heading toward the Twin Towers when the first plane crashed! Uncle Benny and the firefighters (including Lucas' dad) tries to save as many people as they can. Lucas, on the other hand, tries to help as best as he can, but the room they are in collapses! Will everyone (or anyone) get out alive? Read this book to find out. I would not recommend this book to younger readers, because this is a very serious topic and not appropriate for them. Even though this was a short read, it made plenty of emotions rush through me - fear, angst, horror, and even happiness and relief. It kept me on the edge of my seat and I wept a little wept occasionally. One more thing: terrorism is an awful, awful thing, and I just hope that we can achieve world peace one day. Even if we do have one golden minute of world peace, I feel everything would crumble down again.. I'm sorry. I love this book, but I would subtract one star for not having a very good base or anything I can connect to.

I love this book! It is about a girl called Mattie that tries finds out if she really likes Elijah who is a boy in her class by sneaking in a party. Meanwhile, the class is doing a play about Romeo and Juliet. Later she finds out she doesn't like Elijah and falls in love with a girl named Gemma. At first, when she finds out, she was very confused. Then, the young love started to get complicated. Gemma kisses a boy and Mattie was very shocked, but she finds out that her love for Gemma were true love. After complicating things happen, Mattie and Gemma dances together after knowing they liked each other.

Yesterday I read Silverbell. It talks about a girl named Jill Pole to rescue a long lost prince. The prince’s father is sad because there’s no prince to become king after him. The girl travels through an underground world called The Land Of Bism where gnomes roam, eating diamonds.Gnomes are critters like humans, but have a hundred toes. My favorite part is when she gets to the house of the ManChomping Giants, giants who eat men for dinner. First, some lazy men were sleeping nearby. Jill picks the men up and tosses them into the ManChomping Giants’ house. The giants’ house was a big stone fortress, but it had windows on the floor. That part was the funny bit. Then, the girl goes to the Land Of The White Witch, and finds the prince by breaking the witch’s spell. They broke the spell by breaking a silver bell. Finally, they must battle the witch. That part was the scary bit. The moral of the story is to keep trying, even when things look hopeless. I like the story because they had a grand party at the end. If you want to see if they beat the witch, read the story!!!

Even Amy and Dan didn't know they were related to people that famous. How could they be poor then? Who were their mom and dad? They had a lot of questions. Now they were stuck with their aunt. Their Grandmother Grace Cahill had left them. She was a great grandmother. I liked that Rick Riordan used words to describe the character's feelings at the time. Their au revoire is Nellie, who will take them all over the world. This book was really good. They find Clue 2 when they thought someone took it from them. I would recommend this book to mystery lovers and action lovers. I rate this 5 stars.

Inkspell, the story that takes place a year after the events of Inkheart, where Dustfinger returns to the Inkheart after a storyteller brought him in there, leaving his friend Farid. Meggie somehow gets in this situation and the adventures begin. The storytelling is great and the plot flows smoothly and it was really a page-turner for me, giving this book 5 stars. The characters actions relates to me on a personal level. I recommend this book for middle school and higher who love fantasy and adventure in their books (after you read the first book).

False Prince was a book on my summer reading. The main character is an orphan named Sage. Other characters are orphans, Tobias, Roden, and Latamer. There is also Connor a nobleman with a plan of his own. Long lost Prince Jaron was sent overseas to study, but his ship was attacked by pirates (thought to be sent by Avenia which is untrue). Prince Jaron's body was never discovered, but many assume the prince's body sank into the ocean with many others. About four years later, the king, queen, and oldest son Prince Darrius are food poisoned. Who will now be the king of Carthya? Many of the king's regents and noblemen have came up with their ideas of training boys to pretend to be Prince Jaron or simply take over the throne themselves. Connor is one of them. He collects four orphan boys and trains them to act like Prince Jaron. Sage doesn't want to be a false prince, but if he doesn't get chosen, he will be killed which isn't a really better alternative. He befriends a man named Mott and a "mute" servant girl by the name Imogen. He finds himself making false friends and realizes that he better work hard in the 2 week timeline before Connor chooses his prince. You think you know everything as you read, but I think the biggest twist is that SPOILER: Sage IS the real Prince Jaron. Please read this book!!!!!!!!!! It is SPECTACULAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The setting of this book is the rabbit hole/wonderland and the time takes place in the mid 1800's. The main character who is also the protagonist, Alice who just out of curiosity follows the white rabbit down his hole and ends up taking a long journey through wonderland. In this book the antagonist is all of the characters that Alice meets along the way because they try to baffle and confuse her. Throughout Alice's journey she sees and meets many different creatures, enemies, and friends. Will they help Alice along the way? One of the conflicts are on the last chapter, during the trial, when Alice is called to give evidence. She calls the creatures by their name: ‘nothing but a pack of cards’ and they all come flying down on her in rage. Will Alice ever get out of wonderland? Find out by reading this amazing book. Fall into wonderland yourself as you read the words on the pages.
