A Wind in the Door, by Madeleine L’Engle is about a girl named Meg, who has a six-year-old brother named Charles Wallace. Charles Wallace thinks that he sees dragons, but it’s really a cherubim. A cherubim is a creature that looks like multiple dragons, that has lots of eyes and wings. The cherubim’s name is Progo. Charles Wallace is sick and Progo is there to help Meg make him better. Progo tells Meg that in order for her brother to get better, she has to go through three tests. The first test is that Meg has to figure out which Mr. Jenkins, who is the school principal, is the real one out of three. Then, Meg, Mr. Jenkins, and Progo go inside Charles Wallace to figure out why he is sick. Inside Charles, there are these creatures called farandolae, and Meg meets one of them that hasn't become a part of him yet, named Sporos. The second and third test is for Meg to convince Sporos to become a part of Charles Wallace. At the same time, an evil creature called an Echthroi is trying to get Sporos not to, so that Charles Wallace will die, and the universe will be destroyed. I love this book and definitely recommend it. I personally think that the first book in this series was better, but this one was great too. If you want to read this book you should read the first one before you do. Thanks!

E. L. Konigsburg is one of my favorite authors. This story was about one girl named Claudia, and one boy named Jamie. They decide to run away from their house because they think their parents were too bossy to them. They decide to run away to the Metropolitan Museum, which was kind of weird in my personal way. It was amazing how they didn't get noticed in the beginning, but at the end, they get to a newspaper and got caught from their parent's notice to to the FBI. I love this book. Out of 100, I would give this book 100.

This story is about a boy who lived with his grandmother in Norway. They wanted to get rid of all the horrible witches in England and MOSTLY of the wicked GRAND HIGH WITCH who is the one who rules all the cruel witches. But there was a problem.......... What will happen when they go to the Hotel Magnificent? Who are they going to meet? Will boy and his grandmother get what they want? I enjoyed this book because it gives you a lot of suspense. Roald Dahl shows that he is on the children´s side. My favourite part of the story is when boy puts the mouse maker in the soup.I love the way Roald Dahl invents words and makes his characters REALLY interesting. I recommend this book to children who are 8 or more years old. This book is just right for the ones who like adventures and suspense. Roald Dahl is a fantastic writer because he uses a lot of adjectives, he describes very well and includes suspense in the stories.

The book takes place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in the year 1920. Zézé is 5 years old and he wants to be a bow tie-wearing poet. But for now, he plays pranks on other people living in his neighborhood. Zézé puts wax on sidewalks so that people slip and fall. He's so naughty that people say he's the devil's grandson. He lives in a big family with three sisters and two brothers. They are so poor that nobody gets Christmas presents. In the book, Zézé meets many people, including Pinkie the orange tree and Seu Ariovaldo, a musician. But one day he makes a real friend, Portuga. At first, they're enemies, but as they get to know each other, he becomes a father to Zézé. The book was funny and sad, and I enjoyed reading it. The translation was also great!

this book is one of the best books i ever read,i also read another book of Judy Blume called tales of a fourth grade nothing,and i loved it,anyway,in this book is that peter's mom is going to have another baby and also,fudge is going to have a new pet! what will happen after this?you need to read to find out.

Fahrenheit 451 was written over 60 years ago by Ray Bradbury which makes it even more impressive how well it has stood the test of time being relatable to the age we're living in today. But basically, the government has enlisted the help of "firefighters" whose job is actually to do just the opposite. Burn all of the books and the homes that house them. Guy Montag, is one such firefighter who meets a very odd peculiar girl named Clarisse. They actually become great friends despite their very distinct lifestyle differences. Clarisse asks very interpersonal, even intimate questions at times which starts causing Guy Montag to ask questions about his own life. As I went on, I was pleasantly surprised. It is one of those books that you could read time and time again and notice something new each and every time. Faber has to be one of my favorite characters. From what I’ve read, he has no ulterior motive and seems fully focused on preserving literature in such a broken world. My image of Faber actually lies in the basis of the kind, very wise grandfather figure many people have in their lives. Someone who has seen it all done it all for you to confide in. I really see this at work assessing Guy Montag’s attachment to Faber. At the moment, Montag is desperately trying to reach Faber with a crippled body that was a result of a standoff with Captain Beatty that actually resulted in his death! Now, Montag on the run makes it to Faber's home is able to throw his scent off in order to escape from the hound, an automaton robot dog that is described with spider legs and a needle housed in its neck that kills upon contact. Montag ends up with a group of homeless folk who protect the memory of literature in their heads. Each one of them has memorized a piece of literature they believed needed to be reserved. What you don't really take note of during all of the action of Montag escaping from the authorities and the dreadful hound is that in the midst of all of this, a war has begun. However, set in the future, we forget that war has a totally different meaning. War meant weapons of mass destruction which therefore means massive collateral damage. In the aftermath of a nuclear attack that leveled the city, Bradbury describes the legend of the Phoenix dying and rising from the ashes. Similar to the Phoneix, humanity would rise again from the ashes of destruction again and again and again. All in all, Fahrenheit 451 is a thought provking, moving story that I highly, highly reccomend!

These happy golden years it's so good tube out Laura she goes to town for2 months for teacher and he has to stay at her uncle's house and she doesn't like her uncle's wife she's crazy and mean like really mean once in the middle of night she said that she kicked he kicked her and she took the knife and said did you kick me and you said no and she almost got killed and on the weekends on Fridays when she gets back from work mushy gets to go home and that's 24 miles cuz they live in the Prairie and it's really good book can't wait to finish it

Louise lives on Rass Island, a strict Methodist island in the middle of Chesapeake Bay. For all her life, her twin sister Caroline has gotten all the attention. Caroline is talented and artistic, while Louise likes catching crabs with her friend, Call. The book tells about Louise's adventures on Rass as well as how she tries to escape the shadow of her twin. It was really entertaining and very funny at the beginning.

When Chester Cricket lands in New York, he has no idea what's going on or how he got there and is scared out of his wits. Then, a boy named Mario finds him and takes him to his newsstand where his parents agree with Mario to keep it. When they leave Tucker, a city mouse, comes to visit the cricket. Chester tells him his story and they have some meatloaf together. This book is very funny, entertaining and inspiring and tells us that fame isn't everything.
