Treasure Island-Treasury of Illustrated Classics Storybook Collection

By Robert Louis Stevenson

From my point of view this book is a bit difficult especially if it is written in old english. but i think this book is quite interestiing and i pretty like the story idea, though it is sometimes hard to follow.

Half Magic: Fiftieth-Anniversary Edition

Half Magic: Fiftieth-Anniversary Edition

By Edward Eager

Jane, Mark, Katherine, and Martha are having a boring summer until one day, Jane finds a coin on the sidewalk. When she inadvertently wishes for a fire, she discovers the coin's secret: it grants wishes! But you have to wish two times your wish, otherwise, it will only grant half of it. Soon, they use the magical charm to go on adventures, including meeting Sir Lancelot and going to a desert! What will happen next? How will the coin change their lives? This book was great, and I liked how the author told the story. Also, it was super funny! I recommend this book to people who like hilarious books with a bit of fantasy.

The Scarlet Letter

The Scarlet Letter

By Nathaniel Hawthorne

A great book! Perfect if you want to build your vocabulary. It will be a difficult read if you're not used to reading this style, but The Scarlet Letter is very beneficial! Personally I thought the writing was beautiful, and I would recommend this book if you like classics. (Just make sure to have a dictionary on hand for some of the big words)

Pride and Prejudice (Saddleback Classics)

Pride and Prejudice (Saddleback Classics)

By Jane Austen

Great story, not too bad if you're an experienced reader. Don't be discouraged by the longer words, it's not too hard to understand the plot.

Old Yeller

Old Yeller

By Fred Gipson, Steven Polson

Old Yeller was a truly touching classical about the bond of man and dog. Well, not exactly MAN, Travis is only a fourteen year old boy who's been charged with one important task: Be the man of the family until his Pa gets back from his travels—maybe with the new horse Travis' always been wanting. He's doing the best he can with chores, hunting, and dealing with his rowdy five-year-old brother, Little Arliss. But then a big, ugly, yeller dog with a stub for a tail and a missing ear shows up and guiltlessly steals their meat, causing Travis to instantly hate it. But as "Old Yeller", as everyone starts to call him, starts showing his bravery, intelligence, and usefulness, Travis begins to warm up to the mangy dog. Old Yeller was a straight-forward and well-paced book, never dropping my attention for a second. It captures the beauty and danger of living out on the wild frontier, and it really captures the raw emotions of dog and human. I loved this story, and I would recommend to all ages.

Doctor Dolittle The Complete Collection, Vol. 1: The Voyages of Doctor Dolittle; The Story of Doctor Dolittle; Doctor Dolittle's Post Office (1)

By Hugh Lofting

I liked that this book has all three first books in it. It makes it so much easier to read. I read this book in hours because I really liked it. I read this right before watching the movie. Spoiler alert: It's nothing like the movie! Well, this book is about what Doctor Dolittle's adventures are like. He sets sail with a boy named Tommy Stubbins, how the doctor came to talking to animals, and how the doctor created a post office based on animals I liked this book, and if you are interested in books about animals, you will too.

M.T In the beginning of the book Alec Ramsey goes on the Drake (a boat to get to New York) and the boat started to sink and while the boat was sinking, Alec got saved by a huge stallion. The Black(the stallion) brought Alec to a random island. On the island, Alec got the ride of his life! Then a few days later a boat came to save Alec and the Black. Then when Alec and the black got to New York, the Black and another stallion got in a fight. The other stallion was a chestnut color. When Alec got home, ( to his house) he went to his neighbors house and asked if Alec could use their barn. When Ale c's neighbor Henry saw the Black, he knew right away that the Back could race in the match race between Cyclone and Sun Raider. Every morning at 2:00, Henry took the Black and Alec to a track that Henry's friend Jake worked at. Then after a lot of training, Alec, Henry, and the Black went to the match race between Cyclone and Sun Raider in Chicago. When the match race was about to start, Sun Raider kicked the Black and the Black started to bleed. Then when the match race started the Black had to stay behind and then the Black started to race the other horses so that the Black could win. Then the Black won the match race. I would recommend this book to other people.
