“Apocalyptic dystopian fiction at its best. Angler’s sharp wit and dexterity with political themes are matched only by the thrilling suspense on every page.” —Lis Wiehl, New York Times bestselling author and FOX News correspondent

Placed in a futuristic type setting, Evan Angler's book, swipe, has us following the main character, Logan Langly, through mysteries and secrets of his life. Logan lives in a time when everyone, at the age of thirteen, pledge their allegiance to the powers of their world and get a mark. The mark allows you to buy stuff, get rides, and basically be a normal citizen. But Logan's sister had an accident during her pledge, and he hasn't seen her since the day she walked out the door to get her mark. Now he's approaching his thirteenth birthday and he feels like he is being watched. Is Logan destined to fail like his sister? And what's really going on with a group of markless called The Dust, a group that is rumored to kidnap unmarked children. Is Logan The Dust's next target? As Logan teams up with a new friend, he discovers that everything he believed in could be wrong, and that the government is hiding something. Something dangerous.

Swipe is a thrilling, action packed, keeps you on the edge of your seat book. It is set in the future, and once you get into it you can’t set it down. It is a series so there are three other books after it. I loved the fun, exciting, feeling it gave me when I was finished, and I could not wait to get my hands on the next book! Swipe is very inspirational and really made me think and be thankful for what I have. I would very much recommend this book to around ages 9 and up. Written by Evan Angler and published 2012 Swipe is an amazing book.

My opinion of Swipe is I think boys and girls should read this book. It is a good book and lots of people will like it. There is action. Lots of fast pace scenes too.

I really like this book so far because there is a mystery of why Peck takes kids at the middle of the night.
