Jen is used to not getting what she wants. So suddenly moving the country and getting new stepsisters shouldn't be too much of a surprise.

This contemporary middle-grade graphic novel about family and belonging from New York Times bestselling author Lucy Knisley is a perfect read for fans of Awkward and Be Prepared .

Jen did not want to leave the city. She did not want to move to a farm with her mom and her mom's new boyfriend, Walter. She did not want to leave her friends and her dad.

Most of all, Jen did not want to get new "sisters," Andy and Reese.

If learning new chores on Peapod Farm wasn't hard enough, then having to deal with perfect-at-everything Andy might be the last straw for Jen. Besides cleaning the chicken coop, trying to keep up with the customers at the local farmers' market, and missing her old life, Jen has to deal with her own insecurities about this new family . . . and where she fits in.

New York Times-bestselling author Lucy Knisley brings to life a story inspired from her own childhood in an amazing journey of unlikely friends, sisters, and home.

Stepping Stones is a book about a family, and their relationships. I can totally relate this to my life, because my brother is super-annoying, but yet, he is super-fun to play with. The cover and title gives a giveaway - life really is many "stepping-stones." Sometimes, people take the wrong way to the other side - a way that you might sink in. To be honest, I go to the wrong way, and often! So, don't be a coward, and start off a new book - Stepping Stones!!

its an amazing book! its about this girl who was from the city and her mom wanted to live in a farm but her dad disagreed and her mom and dad seperated. and her moms "boy friend" is kinda rude to jan (the moms dauter who is the main character) and the moms boy friend has broked up with his wife to so he brings his dauthers to live in a farm for a while and the sister and step sister have a hard time getting alonge but at the end they end up getting alonge....

Jen has now moved from the city to the country. She doesn't really like country life, but now when her mom' s mean boyfriend and his kids come to live with them, she doesn't like it at all. Except, maybe she can make friends with the girls and stand up to the mean boyfriend. I give this book 3 stars. It is a graphic novel.
