Enter the Grishaverse with Book Two of the Shadow and Bone Trilogy by the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom.

Soldier. Summoner. Saint. Alina Starkov’s power has grown, but not without a price. She is the Sun Summoner―hunted across the True Sea, haunted by the lives she took on the Shadow Fold. But she and Mal can’t outrun their enemies for long.

The Darkling is more determined than ever to claim Alina’s magic and use it to take the Ravkan throne. With nowhere else to turn, Alina enlists the help of an infamous privateer and sets out to lead the Grisha army.

But as the truth of Alina's destiny unfolds, she slips deeper into the Darkling’s deadly game of forbidden magic, and further away from her humanity. To save her country, Alina will have to choose between her power and the love she thought would always be her shelter. No victory can come without sacrifice―and only she can face the oncoming storm.

Alina is back in the riveting second installment of the Grisha Trilogy! More powerful than ever, she must evade the Darkling if she wants to stay free. The Darkling is a relentless hunter and will stop at nothing to find her. With the power of the Sun Summoner, he could rule the world. With the Sun Summoner on the loose, she could ruin his. Will she always run from The Darkling, or will she stand and fight? With the weight of the world resting on her shoulders, Alina must find her strength, gather her power, and face the storm. See the full extent of Bardugo's world-building mastery, watch her characters grow and develop. Complex and fascinating, Seige and Storm is a book worth your time! In this book, you'll meet a new cast of characters (Sturmhond rules!), explore the Grishverse, and see new sides to every character. Be sure to have the next book, Ruin And Rising close by- you won't want to put the series down! I know I couldn't- It only lasted me a day! I'd recommend it for 6th grade and up, I'm in Highschool and still enjoyed it to the full! I look forward to starting Bardugo's other series Six of Crows, soon!

Seige and Storm is an excellent book about Alina Starkov and her companion Mal Oretsev. This book is just incredible! I couldn't put it down! I suggest it to 6th grade and up due to mild death content and some scary creatures. You should definitely read this!

This book, in my opinion, was very amusing. I loved the heroine's personality and the way she viewed the world. Although she did almost fall to greed, she redeemed herself in the end. The book expresses morals over power. The ugly truth about humanity is that were are drawn to power, which leads to tyranny. This story does have a three sided romance. And the book surrounds the idea of darkness and death. Just keep in mind, in pitch black there is always light.

shadow and bone, the first book in the Grisha trilogy, is my new official favorite book. it's so amazing and good, vivid with detail and romance twirled in. it has everything a good book should have: romance, adventure, fantasy, and good writing! after i read shadow and bone and i heard there was another book after it, i literally fainted. this series is the best book series you will ever read. i definitely recommend this book to ANYONE, but it doesn't compare to shadow and bone (which is before siege and storm) The last book of this series, sadly, isn't coming out until 2014. there is rumor of a movie adaptation of shadow and bone though, coming out in 2015. after i read the first book in the Grisha trilogy, i encouraged all of my friends to read it and they fell in love with it the way i did! DEFINITELY A MUST-READ!
