In this riveting debut, a telepathic girl must figure out why she is the key to her brand-new world—before the wrong person finds the answer first.

Twelve-year-old Sophie has never quite fit into her life. She’s skipped multiple grades and doesn’t really connect with the older kids at school, but she’s not comfortable with her family, either. And Sophie has a secret—she’s a Telepath, someone who can read minds. But the day Sophie meets Fitz, a mysterious (and adorable) boy, she learns she’s not alone. He’s a Telepath too, and it turns out the reason she has never felt at home is that, well…she isn’t. Fitz opens Sophie’s eyes to a shocking truth, and almost instantly she is forced to leave behind her family for a new life in a place that is vastly different from what she has ever known.
But Sophie still has secrets, and they’re buried deep in her memory for good reason: The answers are dangerous and in high-demand. What is her true identity, and why was she hidden among humans? The truth could mean life or death—and time is running out.

My friend forced me to read this and now I'm hooked, I cried when Sophie had to leave her human family and then again when Grady and Elaine thought Sophie had d!ed.

AMAZING! Shannon Messenger hooks your attention in ways that lead you away from reality. Plus there really big book series soon to have a graphic novel version and a movie! A REAL LIFE MUST READ!

This book had me hooked about three chapters through. I was so distracted that I couldn’t hear my parents asking me about dinner! It’s also great for readers who can’t get enough. Totally recommend it. :)

Must read!!!!! I love this book and I envy the people who have yet to read it. I wish I could forget it and re-discover it!

This book is awesome, and I am on book seven. So far this series has had so many twists, and it is now one of my favorite books! Since I read it electronically, when I actually saw a paperback copy, I was surprised at how long it actually was. :) I hope you like it as much as I do!

I really love the Keeper of the Lost Cities series! I am now on the 9th book. Shannon Messenger wrote Stellarlune really recently so I have to wait a long time until book ten comes out........

This is the BEST BOOK EVER!! KOTLC is my all time favorite series and if anything happens to Keefe, I will cry until my tear ducts are dry! *book 8.5 comes out* Noooooooo! WHY did you do that to Keefe? HOW COULD YOU, SHANNON MESSENGER!!! Narrator: Skye proceeds to cry until her tear ducts are drier than the Sahara desert.

Have you ever felt out of place and like you didn't belong? Well, Sophie felt that way a lot. She was the only blond in a brunette family and a prodigy child. She tried her best to blend in but sometimes you can't, especially when your face is on every newspaper. When a boy with a newspaper comes over to talk to her, he figures out her secret, and what else can she do but run? This is a wonderful fantasy fiction with thrilling twists and escapes until the very end.

This book is the best book ever! Five stars! There is so much action, adventure, fun, and humor! Go team Keefe!

This is my favourite book ever! Its so adventurous and mysterious!
