A mysterious island. An abandoned orphanage. And a strange collection of very curious photographs. It all waits to be discovered in "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children", an unforgettable novel that mixes fiction and photography in a thrilling reading experience. As our story opens, a horrific family tragedy sets sixteen-year-old Jacob journeying to a remote island off the coast of Wales, where he discovers the crumbling ruins of Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. As Jacob explores its abandoned bedrooms and hallways, it becomes clear that the children who once lived here - one of whom was his own grandfather - were more than just peculiar. They may have been dangerous. They may have been quarantined on a desolate island for good reason. And somehow - impossible though it seems - they may still be alive. A spine-tingling fantasy illustrated with haunting vintage photography, "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children" will delight adults, teens, and anyone who relishes an adventure in the shadows.

I could not stop reading this book, it was just that good!!!!

This book was scary but awesome at the same time. It was really good.

I really loved this book. It was very scary and suspenseful. At the end of almost every chapter there was a cliff hanger. I really want to read the next book, Hollow City.

This book was mostly based off of a mystery and horror. It was an outstanding book because of the way the characters were. For example: Jacob's grandfather lived a childhood in horror. When Jacob would always ask him to tell her stories about his childhood, he would make things up like, he was being chased by monsters and he was sent to live with a bird. If you love mystery and horror, you would love this book.

i totally love this book it is so sad in the beginning but during it you will end up crying.

I think that this book is a great book to read if you like scary books or things like that. This is my favorite book because I really like scary books, and mysterious/ weird creatures. It is just such a great book to read and I honestly think the author gave every character their own personality to live with. The book relates to the world because it shows that everyone is unique and no one is absolutely perfect. :)

A truly great read that all teens and preteens should have on their wish lists. It's truly a story to behold and far greater than just words between the pages, you get a chance to really explore the imagination of Ransom Riggs, the author. The pictures were just the finishing touches that gave the book life, kind of like Frankenstein and his brain. Highly recommended and it is one of my all time favourites, in fact it's at the very top. The story makes sense, the characters make you want to jump right in the book and talk with them and the level of imagination that is took to write this must of made Ransom's brain implode! Definitely recommended!

This book has a really good and intriguing story line. The plot is perfect, and it's amazingly written. Definitely 10/10. I'd recommend it for ages 12+.

I want to read this book!! My friend is reading it and tells me it's great!!!
