A New York Times bestseller!

What was once the western United States is now home to the Republic, a nation perpetually at war with its neighbors. Born into an elite family in one of the Republic's wealthiest districts, fifteen-year-old June is a prodigy being groomed for success in the Republic's highest military circles. Born into the slums, fifteen-year-old Day is the country's most wanted criminal. But his motives may not be as malicious as they seem.

From very different worlds, June and Day have no reason to cross paths - until the day June's brother, Metias, is murdered and Day becomes the prime suspect. Caught in the ultimate game of cat and mouse, Day is in a race for his family's survival, while June seeks to avenge Metias's death. But in a shocking turn of events, the two uncover the truth of what has really brought them together, and the sinister lengths their country will go to keep its secrets.

Full of nonstop action, suspense, and romance, this novel is sure to move readers as much as it thrills.

LEGEND is brilliant! I remember seeing this book everywhere but I just put it off until I visited the library this afternoon. It's a mix between the Hunger Games and Divergent, basically, and it's about a boy and a girl that meet under the strangest circumstances. June is from the Ruby Sector, and she basically has her whole life laid ahead of her since she's a prodigy and a rich person, while Day, from the Lake Sector, is a Wanted criminal. Everything about the book drew me in, from the lovable characters to the action packed plot. I can't wait to read the second book, Prodigy. I especially liked how the author made up the system, with all the rich people in the rich Sectors and the poorer people in the worse sectors, kind of like the Hunger games (Districts 1-12 and the Capitol). Totally recommend it to Hunger games fans.

"LEGEND Doesn't Merely Survive The Hype, It Deserves It." "If You Liked HUNGER GAMES, You'll Love This." I Very Much Recommend It!

This is so good! I didn't really like the third book as well, but the ending was magnificent.

I love Legend! I am reading Prodigy right now and I can't wait to read Champion. They should REALLY make a movie for this. IT WOULD BE AMAZING!

This book is the most interesting book I have read scene I read the Percy Jackson series. I have Enjoyed the mystery in it fullheartedly.

I LOVE THIS BOOK

My friend said it is really good and I think it looks good so I think I am going to read it.

this book was a pretty good. i think it was kind of copies of the hunger games/maze runner/divergent it was pretty good tho

They're not alike. You must be thinking of the dystopian genre.

Thanks to a really good book review I'm reading this book now! I'm really not that interested in thrillers but this book is really interesting. I couldn't put it down for about 3 hours the first day I got it! If you truly LOVED this book I would recommend you should read the Lunar series

Legend is about a fifteen year old prodigy named June and a fifteen year old criminal legend named Day. Day and June come from two different ends of a futuristic version of Los Angeles. Day is from the poor "Lake" sector and June is from the rich "Ruby" sector. June and Day meet when Day is framed for June's brother's death. June makes an oath to find and kill Day even if it is the last thing she does. When June finds Day she learns that not everything about him is true, and she also learns life threatening news about their home. I would rate this book 5 stars. My favourite part was when June first met Day.

Who do you think this book is not for? What do you think the main character struggles with in life?
