A special new edition in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the publication of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, with a stunning new cover illustration by Caldecott Medalist Brian Selznick.

There is a door at the end of a silent corridor. And it's haunting Harry Potter's dreams. Why else would he be waking in the middle of the night, screaming in terror?

It's not just the upcoming O.W.L. exams; a new teacher with a personality like poisoned honey; a venomous, disgruntled house-elf; or even the growing threat of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. Now Harry Potter is faced with the unreliability of the very government of the magical world and the impotence of the authorities at Hogwarts.

Despite this (or perhaps because of it), he finds depth and strength in his friends, beyond what even he knew; boundless loyalty; and unbearable sacrifice.

This gorgeous new edition in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the publication of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone features a newly designed cover illustrated by Caldecott Medalist Brian Selznick, as well as the beloved original interior decorations by Mary GrandPré.

this is one of the best out of the series and its very big it explanes allot of the plot of all seven and you should read it some if you think that was the end of a problem in this book you were wrong they suprise you 2 and there are some very special deaths

The fifth book of the wizard in training was-- Two words. So. Epic.

Epic book with a very sad part. No, I won't give any hints about it. It is the largest Harry Potter book, and I know that anyone who loves large books will love the Order of the Phoenix, and any Harry Potter book. Harry Potter rocks! Bye!

I love this book! It is my favorite book of all of the series! total 5 star!

I love this book! However, the movie is not as good as the book. You should read the book before watching the movie since people who make the movies cut out important parts of the book. I have finished the series and this one is one of the books I think about first when someone mentions Harry Potter. So, basically, it's a good book.

I have read every single Harry Potter book and love them all, but this is my favorite out of all of them!

I decided to read it because I love Harry porter movies so I wanted to see how the book was I like it somehow at some places sometimes it because boring but it can also get exciting that's why I love it

I am reading this book right now and I am at the part where Harry just finished his first week of term at Hogwarts. It is the first Saturday and he just bumped into Cho at the Owlery. I finished reading at the part where Harry is eating breakfast with Ron and Hermione and he feels strong and proud from Cho's words ("You were really brave standing up to her like that.") I think this book is REALLY good but i can't give it five stars because I haven't finished it yet. I think that Professor Umbridge is a really mean bad person! Like the way in detention how she made Harry write that awful quill and have the words be severely cut into his hand. And I have a feeling that Professor Umbridge is actually associated with Voldemort and it wasn't just a coincidence that Harry's scar hurt when she touched him.
