Best-selling author Rick Riordan introduces this adventure by Roshani Chokshi about twelve-year-old Aru Shah, who has a tendency to stretch the truth in order to fit in at school. While her classmates are jetting off to family vacations in exotic locales, she'll be spending her autumn break at home, in the Museum of Ancient Indian Art and Culture, waiting for her mom to return from her latest archeological trip. Is it any wonder that Aru makes up stories about being royalty, traveling to Paris, and having a chauffeur?
One day, three schoolmates show up at Aru's doorstep to catch her in a lie. They don't believe her claim that the museum's Lamp of Bharata is cursed, and they dare Aru to prove it. Just a quick light, Aru thinks. Then she can get herself out of this mess and never ever fib again.
But lighting the lamp has dire consequences. She unwittingly frees the Sleeper, an ancient demon whose duty it is to awaken the God of Destruction. Her classmates and beloved mother are frozen in time, and it's up to Aru to save them.
The only way to stop the demon is to find the reincarnations of the five legendary Pandava brothers, protagonists of the Hindu epic poem, the Mahabharata, and journey through the Kingdom of Death. But how is one girl in Spider-Man pajamas supposed to do all that?

Hello it's Wolfie and since I haven't been doing these lately, I decided to do one on the book I was reading, Aru Shah and the End of Time! So far, this girl lives in a museum about Hindu mythology, and goes to a nice, fancy school where everybody has rich parents and complain when their yacht is getting fixed. The downfall is, she doesn't have anything nice, much less something crazy like what the other students have. And for that she gets bullied. One day before Spring Break the rudest students come and try to peer preasure her into lighting the cursed lamp, which would destroy the world. If u wanna know if she does light it, and the world ends, or if she can save it, read the book! (Even I still haven't out TwT)

so good do you think. i love it so munch

It's pretty good. It's about this girl who has a spirit of some son of an indian god and she goes on adventures to stop demons really.

Its Aru why Aru just why do you ever winder why. SO let me just tell you brief story Aru goes to Paris you know what I wont even get into the details because its fake. Yeah so Aru is kinda of a trickster she lies. When I say that she lies a lot. You know she dosn't have many friends so to show and prove that she dosn't lie (she still does) she says the Lamp of Bharata is cursed. She lights it. Let me tell you in 3 words Chaos has begun. Time is frozen what will ever happen. She has to go on this quest to stop the Sleeper the main antagonist. She must train and find her other soul sisters the Pandava's. Ready to be blown away by this fabulous book well you know what to do, READ IT

Cover looks simply awesome never read the book but I feel like this will be awesome to read!

Seventh-grader Aru Shah is used to telling people that she lives in a condominium downtown, travels to Paris for vacation, and buys her clothing from exotic brands. But actually, none of that is true. She just lies sometimes to fit in at her elite private school, but her classmates don’t always believe her—like now. When Poppy, Burton, and Arielle, three kids from school, show up at her museum house to find the truth about one of her lies, she’s determined to prove herself to them. So she tells them that the lamp of Bharata from the museum is cursed, and they don’t believe her—so Aru lights the lamp. Just one tiny light...how could that do any harm? But she doesn’t understand the consequences of this action. She unknowingly freezes everyone in the midst of time, and frees an ancient demon called The Sleeper. It is up to her to unfreeze time—but she must accept her destiny as a Pandava first. The five Pandava brothers are legendary heroes from Hindu scriptures, but how is Aru supposed to measure up to them? Soon, she meets Mini, who is her soul sister, and they set off on a quest to stop the Sleeper...and save the world. Can they do it? Read this book to find out!

This is a nice book that teaches readers about Hindu mythology while not forgetting to give an action-packed story nicely created in a masterpiece. Aru is a normal girl, but when she lights a lamp and freezes time, she learns she is a panda. She meats a soul sister and together they start on a quest to unfreeze time. If they can not finish in a few days, time will freeze forever and everyone except them will die. Will Aru be able to protect the Earth, or is she just going to watch the world collapse?
