I find this book really inspiring, because Melody has all these challenges that life throws at her, but she not only kicks them in the butt in a WHEELCHAIR, but she also exhibits bravery and courage, even when it's hard. She's a role model for us all!

Melody has lived eleven years of her life not being able to walk, talk, or even hold objects. Once she recieves a life-changing device that allows her to speak for the first time, she is thrilled, ready to tell everyone her story. But not everybody is willing to listen. This book was really good! The plot was so touching, the characters were wonderfully developed, and the writing style is one of my favorites. Defninitely five stars.

Melanie is not like 'normal' kids. She can't walk or talk. Or can she? After a lifesaving device rocks Melanie's world, she can finally do things like other children. So when she makes it into the national quiz team, Melanie's ability to forgive and forget is put to the ultimate test.

I just finished the book !I would definitely recommend this book for people if they like reading books about disabled people . This book talks about an disabled girl named Melody. There is multiple twists .This made me realize that I am lucky that I'm not disabled. I liked this book because all of the chapters had something happen to one of the characters good or bad . So you were always wondering what would happen because of that something .I think that the them is don't let anyone dull your sparkle because, even though people bully Melody it doesn't tear her down .

out of my mind is the best book I've read about in the category of disabled people I'm not done but I really love the book so far

Out of mind is a book about a girl named Melady and she can't talk, or walk, or she can't hold things. She lives a difficult life, but she is smart and she can handle it. Melady has some surprises on the way. I am only half way through the book but I am loving it!

eleven year old melody cant talk I know it sounds sad but it is a really good book

So far it's really good! A girl name Melody can't talk or walk or write...she is a very smart person but since she can't talk or write the kids in her school thinks she isn't smart... (that's all I know now.)

SPOILERS IN REVIEW I love this book. It's a sad but honest representation of struggles that people similar to Melody face. It's ending is very sad, but fairly a good representation of what happens. I do wish we got to see her make other friends.

I haven't read all of it yet, but I'm 3/4 in and it is very good so far. My favorite character is Sydney the snowman lol
