I read the first Bet You Didn’t Know 1 year ago. Ever since then, I’ve been trying to find new Weird But Trues, other Nat Geo books, but I didn’t find a new fact book. And now, that the 2nd book has come back, i can finalllllllyyyyynfind something to read. Even if I don’t win, it’s alright. I will still be super excited for this new book. Thanks for considering for me. 😊Over 4 years agoinmemoryofcpr added a book review.
When Taharka gets chosen as the new king of Egypt, everything was just wrong. His brother, Shabataka was supposed to be picked. Taharka is nothing compared to his brother and he Taharka never even wanted to be king! While he struggles to adapt tl his new solitary life, a plot against him goes unoticed and he almost gets assainated! Taharka escapes with his Israelite friend, Amos and escapes. As they journey to find someplace safe, Taharka realizes the dangers and has many adventures. I would recommend this for ages 10+ There is a little romance and i read this for homework and it wasn't that bad. I wouldn't read it for relaxtion but it was still pretty good.Over 4 years agoinmemoryofcpr added a book review.
Ari’s mother’s last words to her were “Stay together always.” So when her brother, Gage decides to leave the home of Janna, their mom’s old friend, Ari goes with him. As they struggle to find a place to live between friends and strangers, life begins to fall apart for her. She starts to lose her friends and Ari’s schoolwork is failing. Meanwhile, Ari finds help in unexpected places and realizes there is more to the world than meets the eye. I would recommend this for ages 10+ This was such an inspiring book! It will teach you how to be grateful and be more aware of your surroundings. I would definitely recommend this is except the reason I rated this 4 stars was because the pace needed a little improvement. But other than that, this is a must read!Over 4 years agoinmemoryofcpr replied to a comment in
