raindrop07's book review was featured in The Forest of Stars.
The Forest of Stars by Heather Kassner is a dazzling, mysterious tale of magic, friendship and mystique. When Louisa LaRoche stumbles upon The Carnival Beneath the Stars in the search for her long lost father, she can only yet imagine what mysteries lie beneath the circus tent. After an odd accident involving shadows and a performer plummeting to the ground, Louisa is given a role in the circus and her magical abilities to walk on air gift her the name of “Starlark.” But soon after she is given the new part, more peculiar events occur and the threads of Louisa's story begin to unravel, exposing many secrets in the shadows. Louisa must find a way to patch the missing holes of this tale and with the help of her friends, track down the evasive thief who is stealing the magic encircling the performers and the Carnival Beneath the Stars. I really enjoyed this book and would absolutely recommend it!

Another interesting Easter tradition: In the country of Honduras, the people celebrate Samana Santa, which is Spanish for, Holy Week. This the week before Easter. Samana Santa is kind of like a spring break, with a vacation from school and work, and celebrating with family and friends. They end Samana Santa by getting up early to watch the sunrise on Easter morning which signifies the start of the third day and Jesus' resurrection.

This goes to show literally anything can be classified as ''art'' with the right people. A beautiful, abstract artwork forged by intricate design or a hyper-realistic emotional portrait IS art. An ancient artwork such as the Mona Lisa (which couldn't POSSIBLY be compared with a banana taped to a wall or assembling together a bunch of everyday photos that *I* could very easily do myself) IS art. Yet these things are hardly acknowledged and people instead fork over money for the most ridiculous scribbles I've ever seen. (Like I said.. people paid $120,000 for a banana.. let that sink in..)
