Donovan Curtis is an average kid, but when he knocks a huge atlas over, the superintendent is furious and accidentally writes his name on the list to go to the Academy, a school for brainiacs. After the first day, it is clear that he does not belong in the academy. A retest and a few close-to-meetings with the superintendent knock him back on track, and he starts wondering what will happen to him. Will he get summer school, community service, or worse, expelled...?

Hey guys! I have another fun activity while you are quarantined! How to make a easy puzzle: You don’t even need a pair of scissors to make your own puzzle, as long as you already have puzzles at home. All you need is crayons, markers or paint. Create your own puzzle by simply using the other side of a puzzle you have (it’s usually blank cardboard) to draw or paint your own picture. First, you’ll need to put the original puzzle together, then carefully flip it over. Draw your complete picture, take a picture of it to reference, then break the puzzle apart and build it back using your image instead. Make it even more difficult by drawing on the separate pieces first, then trying to put the puzzle together without knowing what it will look like until the end.

This is such a good book about to girls that don't really have anything except their abusive stepmother and their few friends. Their mother and sister died and their father left them and now it's up to them to be there for each other. Their stepmother hates them and doesn't treat them like humans they want to run away but they can't the only have 40 dollars and that won't get them anywhere. The only thing keeping them going is their imagination, whenever they feel lonely they imagine there in a better place with people they love. This is such a touching book that I would totally recommend.

This book literally exceeded my expectations, its the right amount of humor and drama and learning. Natalie is a normal girl with her best friend until middle school starts her best friend all of a sudden doesn't like her and is hanging out with the cool kids. Throughout the book she tries to impress her friend and get her back she's tries to be someone she's not but in the end she realizes who she is, is already enough she doesn't have to change for anyone. This is an amazing book for ages I would say 8-13.

Some people have siblings who scare them, dress up as monsters, just for laughs, but monsters aren't real, right? Carlton believes EVERYTHING his older brother, Milt, tells him. When Milt dresses up as a monster, Carlton then starts to believe in monsters and is now afraid of everything. When he realizes that no one will catch all the monsters, he decides to be the world's first Creature Catcher. As Carlton is practicing his monster catching skills on his family, his dad finally says enough is enough and forces Carlton to get a job. Meanwhile a kid on the beach eating a Laffy Daffy meal throws a French fry into the water. Which then wakes up a sea monster. When the sea monster raids the burger joint that Carlton works at, it's time for him to put his Creature Catcher powers to good use! Very good book and very cute. Recommended for 6-12 year olds.
