armcginn's book review was featured in Tex (M Books).
Happy-go-lucky and reckless Tex McCormick loves nothing more than his horse Negrito, but one day when Negrito goes missing, Tex's world falls apart. Unsure when his dad will come home, even after months of traveling. Tex tries his hardest to stay out of trouble, but money and time are running out- will even that be enough to hold his disintegrating world together? It definitely wasn't classic-level like Hinton's other novel The Outsiders, but compared to Taming The Star Runner and Rumble Fish, it was certainly far superior. It was a quick, easy, intense, and relatable read, I would recommend it for years 13 and up.
