Rose Howard is obsessed with homonyms. She’s thrilled that her own name is a homonym, and she purposely gave her dog Rain a name with two homonyms (Reign, Rein), which, according to Rose’s rules of homonyms, is very special. Not everyone understands Rose’s obsessions, her rules, and the other things that make her different – not her teachers, not other kids, and not her single father.

When a storm hits their rural town, rivers overflow, the roads are flooded, and Rain goes missing. Rose’s father shouldn’t have let Rain out. Now Rose has to find her dog, even if it means leaving her routines and safe places to search.

Hearts will break and spirits will soar for this powerful story, brilliantly told from Rose’s point of view.

This book was the best book I have ever read that was not part of a series. This book really touched to my heart and I really felt as if that was me who lost my dog, who lost her father. Defiantly read this book.

This book is one of the best books ever. It is so touching and deep. I love the story and the way it is written. Ann M. Martin really described the story well, and she described the characters just as well. You could almost play the movie in your head really smoothly. It is a great book to read with others, and I highly recommend it.

Rain Reign is about a girl named Rose who is obsessed with homophones, her own name has a homophone: rows. She has a dog named Rain, which has 2 homophones: rein and reign. When Rose's father lets Rain out during a storm, Rose must find her dog before some else does.

This book is really good. It was full of homonyms so you can learn a lot more. It was a little sad, but still really good.
