Coming down from the mountain to a new city life is a thrill to Miri. She and her princess academy friends have come to Asland to help the future princess Britta prepare for her wedding. There, Miri also has a chance to attend school-at the prestigious Queen's Castle.

But as Miri befriends sophisticated and exciting students, she also learns that they have some frightening plans for a revolution. Torn between loyalty to the princess and her new friends' ideas, between an old love and a new crush, and between her small mountain home and the bustling city, Miri looks to find her own way in this new place.

Skilled storyteller Shannon Hale continues Miri's compelling story in this beautiful and inspiring sequel, now available in paperback for the first time.

its the best book ever really relatable and its awesome for fantasy lovers.

I like how the author made it seem like Peder wasn't the one for Miri but in reality he is.

Miri and the other graduates from the Princess Academy are invited to Aslan for Britta's wedding and to stay for a year. But, once Miri gets settled, it doesn't take long for her to realize something's going on. She makes friends with a boy at the school she's attending called Timon. She learns that not all the people in Aslan want a new princess. As she attends Salons and finds out more about what the people plan to do and how they plan to do it, Miri isn't so sure who she can trust.. She's also debating weather or not she wants to go back to Mount Eskel. As time goes on, she finds herself getting more and more mixed up until she finally finds herself right in the middle of the trouble. And in the midst of all this, are two unanswered questions: Who's side is she on? And how much danger is the royal family really in?

i sooooooooooo want t red this book.
