    A brilliant 12 year old named Adam Story has been challenged by a mysterious prince to cross the earth by land and sea in forty days. If he is successful, he wins 4 million dollars! His journey will be coordinated, supervised and financed by a wealthy group called the Magellan Voyage Project. Adam accepts the challenge, and under the ruse of sleep away camp for the summer, embarks on his international voyage. Along the way he sees the world, meets numerous international characters, friendly and otherwise, who try to stop him. He also learns of the true meaning of this contest. This is an exciting story, enjoyed by boys who like to be immersed in a far reaching adventure, tinged with mystery and suspense along the way.
