The New York Times-bestselling series soars to even greater heights with a new prophecy and five new dragonets ready to claim their destiny!

Peace has come to Pyrrhia . . . for now.

The war between the tribes is finally over, and now the dragonets of the prophecy have a plan for lasting peace: Jade Mountain Academy, a school that will gather dragonets from all the tribes and teach them to live together, perhaps even as friends.

Moonwatcher isn’t sure how she feels about school, however. Hidden in the rainforest for most of her life, the young NightWing has an awful secret. She can read minds, and even see the future. Living in a cave with dozens of other dragons is noisy, exhausting--and dangerous.

In just a few days, Moon finds herself overwhelmed by her secret powers and bombarded by strange thoughts, including those of a mysterious dragon who might be a terrible enemy. And when someone starts attacking dragons within the academy, Moon has a choice to make: Stay hidden and safe? Or risk everything to save her new friends?

Now that the war is over, Clay, Sunny, Tsunami, Starflight, and Glory open a school in Jade mountain where Moon attends. He is the only dragon of the night wing tribe to see minds and read the future. In addition, there is a voice in his mind that he can hear. Moon knows that none can find out about his powers. So what will he do when there comes a choice between keeping his powers safe and saving dragonets?

This book is magic. Moon is an adorable lovable character who has to deal with the awkward and embarrasing power of being able to read other peoples minds. This gives deeper thoughts about the downsides to magic powers. Did you know that the author of these books was on the game show Jeopardy?

Wings of Fire: Moon Rising By: Tui T. Sutherland Published: December 30, 2014 This book talks about a dragon who was laid under two full moons and hatched under two full moons. Moonwatcher, a NightWing, can read minds and see the future. Everybody thinks that NightWings no longer have powers. This book will tell you what happens when Moon’s friends find out about her powers. I like this book because I like the mystery and the surprises. I think grades 4-8 would be interested in this book. I would recommend this book for people that like fantasy, dragons, or mystery.
