When Sapphire was little, her father told her a legend about a mermaid and a man. Neither could live apart from the other, and one night the man swam down to his Mer love and was never seen again. Oddly, the missing man had the same name as Sapphy’s dad. Sapphy has begun to think about that legend again, ever since her father inexplicably vanished one night in his boat. Now her brother Conor keeps disappearing down by the sea, and Sapphy feels the same inexorable pull, a pull that draws her into a world she never dreamed existed. Intoxicating but dangerous, Sapphy’s underwater playground is not always what it seems, its power forcing her to make a choice beyond imagination—because you can’t just go back and forth between the land and the sea.

A novel of immense power and humanity that captures both a young girl’s feelings of love and the darkness of a hazardous, adult world, Ingo is a tantalizing first book in this trilogy.

I was at my local library and it caught my eye. I usually don't like sci-fi books but this was a good one.

I think that "Ingo" is a great book to read because it has many cliff hangers. That made me read more and more, even after my bed time. Sapphire has lost her dad and then later her brother, Conor starts being gone for a long period of times. While she starts looking for him, she meets this mer boy, Faro. He tells her that Conor is in Ingo and he wants her to come with him! Read to find out more.

This book is a great book, I think any one would like it , it is about a girl, and her brother their dad goes missing, and they go on all these adventures with a mermaid and her brother, a merboy to find him.

its about a little girl that her father tells her a story about a mermaid. her and her family was at a boom fire one night. after that night her mom and dad were getting in to fights. one night her mom and dad had a fight her dad went out to the boat to fish and he never came back home that night.

It is about a little girl and her dad told her a story about a mermaid. The mermaid falls in love with a human and they can't be together cause she will die and there was this angry knife who stabes her but she is fine. But the mermaid could not stop thinking about him.So every sunday she swims to the old church she got as close as she could just to listen to him sing. Then one day he could not stop thinking about her and she could not stop thinking about him. So he swam out by her and instead of going home he stayed out by her and he turned into a merman and he was never seen again on shore.
