This goes to show literally anything can be classified as ''art'' with the right people. A beautiful, abstract artwork forged by intricate design or a hyper-realistic emotional portrait IS art. An ancient artwork such as the Mona Lisa (which couldn't POSSIBLY be compared with a banana taped to a wall or assembling together a bunch of everyday photos that *I* could very easily do myself) IS art. Yet these things are hardly acknowledged and people instead fork over money for the most ridiculous scribbles I've ever seen.
