This book is about Jonathan and Shelly, perfectly normal kids who are spies. I like how this book takes normal kids and uses them as the protagonists instead of Superheroes or geniuses. Nina, one of their co-agents has stolen a serum that ruins your brain, making you less smart. She's supposedly going to use it so an environmental law isn't voted for. Jonathan and Shelley have to stop Nina, but then they start to wonder if Nina is the real culprit. This book is filled with action and suspense and mystery. Shelley messes up idioms which is really funny too. I highly recommend this book.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Enter a Glossy Web by Mckenna Ruebush is a good book. The cover makes it look interesting and the idea of a doorway to another world also seems interesting. You should read this book. I liked the part at the end when it say's "she had found people to belong to, and together they would find what she had lost." I liked it because she had found some friends. I think it was a good ending because she is happy and not lonely.

This book is about Ani Mells. She is captured and tested for the plague. She tested positive. She is forced to go to attic island and she and her friend Weevil escape. The cover of the book makes it look very interesting. The title is made with trees which is kind of cool because trees are a symbol of life, yet a scourge can cause death. This book reminds me of the lunar chronicles. If you loved this book you should read that series. Because I own chickens, this is my favorite quote: "That is truly the most horrible sound I've ever heard, sort of like a chicken's dying squawk. Only that ends. Yours goes on and on and then on and on some more, like you don't even need air while creating that blasphemy of voice." I own 14 chickens and I thought this image was funny.

I received a copy of this book from Dogo books in exchange for an honest review. Patrick Griffin's Last Breakfast on Earth is a really good book. Patrick is the middle boy of 7 siblings, and a lover of chemistry and cooking. One day an experiment goes horribly awry and Patrick is transported to another world--ITH. People on ITH have big eyes like Manga and tiny ears. They have advanced technology that's interesting to read about. I thought Patrick was kind of funny and the action and plot twists were fast paced. If you like reading about other worlds read this book!

sydstar's book review was featured in Behind the Canvas.
The World Behind The Canvas is about how a girl named Claudia who loves art. One day Claudia sees a boy in a painting that was not there before. She figures out that the boy can talk and his name is Pim. Claudia finds out that there is a world behind the canvas. Pim is stuck there and Claudia has to find out the way to the world behind the canvas and help Pim come back to the real world. My favorite character is Claudia because because she is brave. Here is a quote from the book: " Her fingers tingled as she lightly touched the wooden frame. Then in slow motion, she turned the painting on its wire." If you love art, you should definitely read this!
