ocelot's movie review was featured in Alice Through the Looking Glass.
This was a great movie! I watched it the day it came out! In this movie, Alice Kingsleigh returns to Wonderland, through a looking glass, or a mirror, if you will. But there's a problem, and things are not normal. The Mad Hatter has found a paper hat that symbolizes to him, at least, that his family is still alive and well. He then tasks Alice to find his family, and reunite them with the Mad Hatter. However, the only way for Alice to do that, is to go to Time's castle, and steal the Chronosphere--a magical sphere-like object that will allow Alice to go back in time. However, a lot of things go wrong. She first goes back in time, and she sees the Hatter's father placing the crown on the Queen of Hearts--Iracebeth's head. After it breaks, Iracebeth is seen fuming about her broken crown. Mirana, Iracebeth's sister, is then chosen as the heir to the throne. After everybody leaves, Alice hears that everything began when Mirana, the White Queen, lied about stealing tarts when she and Iracebeth were both kids. Alice must then return to that period of time to try to change the past. Will Alice be able to do it? Or will she face something much worse? Or will she break time by letting her past self see her future self? Watch this cliff-hanging movie to find out!

This was a fairly good book, but I am not too into American Girl books. Lea wants to explore the world, and thinks she'll have a lot of fun! She starts off with a trip to Brazil, where her brother is studying the rainforest. She goes to several different places and then goes to the beach, but soon, she realizes that she might not have the courage to embrace the water and dive in! Will she be able to do it? And will her fun turn out to be a dangerous journey that she'll need to learn to embrace? Read this classic American Girl book today!

This was a pretty good read for me, but then again, I do like Roald Dahl books. Sophie's just an ordinary girl in an ordinary orphanage. But, she can't go to sleep. She lies awake, and suddenly sees something pretty strange out the window--a giant man carrying a suitcase that looks like a trumpet. Sophie tries to hide from this monster, but is unable to, and he picks her up and runs with her until they reach a large cave. That's when everything begins. Sophie is told that she cannot leave the cave, because the BFG's existence must remain unknown. Plus, if she leaves, other monsters might eat her up. The BFG is a kind giant that collects children's dreams and destroys the bad ones, giving the good ones to the children. Later on, Sophie and the BFG vow to take out all the monsters that eat all the young children that they see. Will this be possible? Read this classic to find out!

I love the Nick and Tesla series, because they always include something that you can do yourself. This book is full of fun science and action! In this story, Nick and Tesla, two 11-year old siblings, are given over to their Uncle Newt, when their parents suddenly vanish. Uncle Newt is an inventor, and invents tons of different tools and gadgets (top-secret of course!!). Soon, Nick and Tesla started to make inventions of their own, and of course, the book also comes with step-by-step instructions on how to build different gadgets as well! For me, this book is one of the most fun ways to learn science!

I don't know if this is possible, but if it is, adding the 2017 Nat Geo Almanac to the prize list would be great!

Celie's a princess living in a magical castle called 'Castle Glower'. Of course, her parents are King and Queen. Now, why is this 'TUESDAY's' at the Castle? Well, because on Tuesday's, the castle changes its floor plan, whether it be removing a room, adding a wing, etc. It's a good thing that Celie maps out all the changes, because the castle soon gets ambushed, and her mother and father, along with her oldest brother, all go missing. It's up to Celie to be able to save the kingdom, but will she do so in time?

I really enjoyed this book. This is a sequel to The Girl Who Could Fly, and it was definitely filled with action on nearly every page. Conrad Harrington III is gifted with knowledge, even though he just wants to be a normal kid and live a normal life. His father was just elected the president of the United States, and suspicious disasters start to happen all over the world. Can Conrad and all the other exceptional children help to prevent more terrible disasters from happening and to help save the world? Find out in this action-packed novel, The Boy Who Knew Everything.
