I give this book 5 stars. This is a fractured fairytale with a new take on Sleeping Beauty. Harriet the princess hamster is cursed by a wicked fairy to fall asleep at the age of 12. The youngest fairy blesses her with a gift that she can wake up with a kiss from a prince. Ratshade, the evil villain shows princess Harriet where the spinning wheel is, but Harriet doesn't touch the wheel. The curse turns upside down, so while everyone in the kingdom sleeps, Harriet must find a prince to kiss everyone in the kingdom so they will wake up. This is a fantastic twist ending! I love how Ratshade POOFS in the end. I love the illustrations. I love this book because it's based on a fairytale that I really like and the story is interesting. My favorite character is Princess Harriet because she loves going on many adventures and she does not want to be a princess. I highly recommend this book!

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Gertie is funny. I like the very beginning where she shows her bullfrog to the class and says it's a zombie frog. My favorite part is when Gertie's Aunt tell her: "I've been made at your mama ever since she left you, so mad I could spit. I never did understand how a woman could leave her own baby because she didn't feel like raising it. And I still don't understand. But I realized it doesn't matter why. I should love that woman to pieces, because she left you with me. Best thing that ever happened to me." I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to laugh out loud and also feel happy.

I really liked Kid Artists because I want to grow up to be an artist. I learned about hard things that happened to them--like Jackson Pollack was chased by a bull and had nightmares about it. Dr. Seuss was teased and scared of being on stage. Louise Nevelen moved from her country. All of the kids became great artists later. Charlz Shultz was shy. I liked in the intro where it says: "They made art, they made a difference and they made history." Read this book if you want to be an artist!

I love this book because Camilla Cream makes funny faces and looks like a rainbow. She's worried about what other people think of her and she turns the color of whatever people are saying. People make fun of her because whatever they say shows up on her. The principal said she had to go home because she was too distracting for other kids. She turns into a pill from taking medicine and finally she turns back to normal when she's willing to say she loves lima beans. And she does!
