Amazing start to an amazing overall series! This series is about a society where everything is similar to today's society, except one thing. When a kid is between 13 to 18 years old, they can be unwound, meaning that 99% of their body can be taken out, and later be given to someone who needs it. And the kid's parents are the ones who can fill the forms out to get kids unwound. And believe it or not, tons of kids get unwound. Connor just misbehaves. Risa is just not good enough to stay at the ward she is in. And Lev is a tithe, a kid who is created so that they can get unwound. All these chatacter's paths meet, and they all work together to survive, and later to help stop unwinding.

Solid continuation of the first book, but I took REALLY long to read this, but then I read the last 100 pages in one morning. So, this book is slower because it introduces characters who will be there for about the rest of the series, but it is very exciting in the end.

This was a book that, instead of getting really exciting in the end, had twists. There was a new character, Una, who was introduced in this book. So, this book was great, but more twisty rather than exciting.

SOME SPOILERS AHEAD!!! Great, satisfying conclusion to a great series! Starkey's causing trouble and unknowingly making it harder to stop unwinding, while we learn about the organ printer, a device created so that unwinding could stop. There's also Nelson, dead set on getting some of the main characters unwound for revenge. The ending really couldn't be more happy. This was a great book!

4.5 stars rounded up. This is a really heartwarming novel about openly gay Charlie, who begins to fall in love with the boy he sits next to, Nick, who is a rugby player. I give it 4.5 starts because though it is a very cliche LGBTQ+ romance, it's a very nice and well done one.

4.5 stars rounded up! This is a heartwarming romance graphic novel about openly gay Charlie, who has a big crush on Nick, a rugby player who sits next to him. However, as Charlie hopes that Nick can feel the same way about him, his friend Tao is convinced that Nick's straight. But the truth about Nick is not what they expect. Great for anyone who is 11/12 or older.

The Hate U Give is a young adult novel that portrays the life of a black teen named Starr who witnesses the shooting of her best friend by a police officer, and has to tell the world his story. This book really shows you firsthand the constant fear and oppression that is faced by black people everywhere, and the hole that the constant deaths of family and friends in those neighborhoods makes in the lives of people like Starr. It also shows how sometimes you have to be brave and do what's right even when it can be dangerous. This book really opened my eyes, and the writing was amazing.

After reading Six of Crows, I didn't know if Crooked Kingdom would meet up to the standards of its prequel, but it delivered and more. We got to see even further inside the personal dilemmas of the characters, and how they still think everything through and come up with the perfect plan. I loved this book a lot, maybe even a little more than Six of Crows, and I think I can say that this is an amazing series, one of my favorites.

This book shows us the lives of two very different boys, Aristotle and Dante, and their friendship over 3 years that becomes maybe something more. Aristotle is quiet, and doesn't really like to try new things. Dante, however, is bubbly and never finds himself lacking things to say. I loved the dynamic of these two and how they really contrasted each other's personalities. Their relationship seemed very one-sided at first, with Dante leading most of their interactions, but Aristotle finds himself doing things he never imagined for Dante. Aristotle was a beautifully portrayed character, and we see that he is the way he is because he doesn't have a very solid relationship with his father, and his brother was put in prison when Aristotle was very young. I loved this book and I would definitely read it again.
