I researched about the background of this book, and expectedly, the author herself is a dolphin rescuer. Furthermore, she understands the dolphin very much. In this book, she talks about the activism of saving dolphins and also shows the readers how smart the dolphins are and how they are even smarter than us. She also talks about why we should stop mistreating them. The most amazing thing is that they can even communicate with humans! The author describes them as the smartest creature except human on earth. Due to I wrote an essay about the mistreatment of dolphins, I began researching about books of dolphins. This was the second book that I found, but it was more interesting than the first book. I think that the author is completely correct. I like how this book uses a funny way to discuss the issue. It makes people feel joyful but also makes people take action on saving the animals. Go on and read this book! Enjoy the conversion between you and the dolphin ~ 🐬

sandyc's book review was featured in The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane.
Edward Tulane a special rabbit, being custom-made for 10-year-old Abilene Tulane by her grandmother Pellegrina. One day while going to family trips, Edward got lost beside a beach. Luckly, a fisherman and his wife found Edward, and decided to take him home. In the home of the fisherman and his wife, Although Edward was "connected" with them, he still ends up in a garbage dump. From there he is rescued by a tramp named Bull and his dog Lucy. Entering a life of great adventure he learns to enjoy the songs and stories. And so he listened. And in his listening, his heart opened wide and then wider still. After many years with Bull and Lucy, a little boy assume that Edward is just what his sick four-year-old sister needs. Sara Ruth, her little sister, makes Edward realize he has a heart because it breaks when she dies. Bryce, Sara Ruth's brother, proves to be one of the most tender of characters when he turns Edward's broken body over to a doll maker after the rabbits' head has been shattered. Will he keep the broken rabbit, or let it be restored to make another child happy? Bryce's sacrifice, in the face of his grief over his sister, is very touching. Finally, in the shop of the doll maker, Edward is unexpectedly discovered by someone who has always loved him. This story is talking about how only a rabbit doll can have love, and we should all love things surrounding us.

Jem, is fifteen years old and met a young named Terry, who has a nickname as Spider. Jem initially tries to stay away from Spider although he is one of his true friends. The reason why she avoids contacting with her is because she sees numbers associated with every person when her eyes meets their eyes. These numbers shows the date, the month and the year of that person's death. Jem knows that Spider is going to die in just a few months (after her mother's death). On the other hand, Spider invites Jem to his house, and Jem eventually met his grandmother, the only family member Spider has, and she can see auras and immediately recognized Jem as a kindred spirit, though she doesn't initially realize the depth of Jem's gift. She saw special auras around Jem, and was surprised. Jem and Spider begin spending a great deal of time together after Jem went to spiders house, and became couples afterwards. One day, she and Spider both got into trouble, and decided to run away from home. They visited an amusement park with a huge Ferris wheel, which is the London Eye. While they are having lots of fun, Jem soon saw that all the people there have the same number. She knows that these people would die because of something happening in the park. She and Spider ran away, and after they ran away, a bomb exploded and killed a great deal of people. Unfortunately, some of the people remember Jem and Spider running away before the explosion, So they are chase by the polices. After Spider saved Jem, who tried to suicide because she thinks that people having numbers are all her fault, since she is the only one who can see it. After Spider got released, and died, their son grew up, and appears to see numbers like his mother... I am so excited for the second book! And based on the ending of this book, saying that the boy can also see numbers, I think that the second book would be based on the boy. I am also looking foward to the third book.

sandyc's book review was featured in Wings of Fire #1: The Dragonet Prophecy.
The Dragon's world is in chaos, while Burn, Blister, and Blaze is fighting for the crown. Some dragonets are then known as the "chosen one" and was raised carefully.Clay and his friends have grown up under a mountain to fulfill a mysterious prophecy. The five young dragons are destined to end the war that's been raging between the tribes of Pyrrhia.Clay and his friends gets into trouble every time they try to do something by themselves, but always end up in a bad situation. This book was recommended by @michellek21. I was once told that this book is really interesting, and I started reading it once I got them. Inside the book, there are some funny parts like "where is the scavenger? I thought the scavenger is a creature that stands on two feet. Well, that seems unstable for me.". The funny thing is that, the dragons are actually talking about humans! That's what made the book interesting -- jokes that all readers would understand. Also, the author creates interesting characters, even though they are completely different creatures than what we are, and yet there are no such creatures. Tui T. Sutherland used his great imagination and wrote the awesome book. As soon as this month ends, I will definitely start reading the second book!

The story focuses on "Little Man", which is the paperboy. He throws the meanest fast ball in Memphis during 1959. Unfortunately, he had problems speaking. Words come out of his mouth with sounds like s-s-s-s, or tu-tu-tu. He was bullied by his classmates, and type down his stories using an old type writer of his dad, and shared his own feelings with the audience. He took over his friend's job, and hoped that he can get better at speaking because he was required to speak to adults during the newspapers are handed out. One part that I was really heart broken is that the pain of not being able to do what others do, for example, when your friends all get to play at an amusement park, while your mom forbidden you to. That's what Little Man feels. Just it's much deeper, much painful that just not going to the amusement park. Little Man had try all techniques pushing him to speak, and this is painful for a reader to read. I don't really appreciate how people beside him treated him, sometimes they are just too cruel, and will harm Little Man from deep down inside. If I was Little Man's friend or neighbor, I will be willing to help him learn to talk, or even help him with communicating with others.

sandyc's book review was featured in To Kill a Mockingbird.
Scout was an ordinary young girl that lived in Maycomb country. Maycomb country, which is a real country in Alabama, was a small town. Secrets, rumors, and personal issues don't stay as a "secret" for long. Unlike other kids or family in Maycomb country, Scout and her family enjoy their life by living freely and being justice. Her dad, Atticus, was a lawyer in the country, and steps out for people that are treated harshly because of their skin color. An great example is Tom Robinson, which was noticed as crime, while he was innocent. Atticus did his best to try to give his honor back, meanwhile, Scout is being teased by people around her - even her own family, They don't appreciate how Atticus talk for people with other skin colors. I don't really appreciate how this country worked, because children in the country will be affected by the people in their country. When the grew up, unless they are kids like Scout, there will be negative inflection due to how people acted in their country. I like how the author - Harper Lee written down how he feel about his hometown - which is Maycomb country. It was a great book showing us how we should live our lives.

A normal girl - on the lower level, was pretty, and one day, the prince is finding his wife, and send a invitation to all girls, no matter what level they are in. Actually she doesn't really want to be chosen. She is lucky. She got chosen by the prince, and spend more time with him than any other girls. The first book ends with a mystery - is she going to be chosen or not? I recommended this book because the descriptions are just really detailed, and the book is well written for people who really like drama - for example Ms.Gilbert and MEEE

Stargirl is NOT and ordinary girl, in our definition, but have we really think of what's ordinary and what's weird? Stargirl appeared to be the strange kid in the MEHS when she is what we once is. She's different, wears different clothing, acts different. She's the friendliest girl yet she has only 2 friends - Leo and Dori, but she doesn't seem to mind! She don't have ego and she was in her own world - connected to the star. Always smiling even if she's sad, trying to make everyone happy, and being original - Just her self. Unlike other girls, she thinks positively and I feel proud of her. I will definatly be an up-stander and stand up towards Hillari and the bullies.
