Nikki should finally almost have her perfect life, since her mortal enemy MacKenzie has finally left! She even gets to hang out with Brandon more now that MacKenzie isn't there to ruin it. Soon, she runs into more drama however, when she has to hide puppies from her parents while taking care of them. This turns out to be difficult, of course. I highly recommend this book as a really cute read for middle schoolers, as you can really relate to Nikki!

This book is also a classic! The story is about a futuristic society where everybody's lives are chosen for them, and there is no color. Jonas is soon assigned the job of the next Giver, somebody who receives the memories of the past so that he is able to keep them. But he learns that his society isn't all that good, and he wants to change it. This book was amazing and really makes you think about what our future could be like!

This book is so funny and relatable! I had braces before too, and I really felt Raina's pain. What makes this book even greater is that the main character in the book is really the author talking about her own experiences. The pictures really make the book even more vivid and I really did enjoy this book a lot. Middle school drama is something that is completely real and I love how Smile really shows it.

Wonder is a book that is so inspiring and true! It is about a boy named Auggie who has a face deformity and was home-schooled for most of his life. This year is different however, when he goes to a public school. He learns about life there, and makes many new friends. This book really shows social interactions and teaches us that we should never judge based on somebody's outward appearances. I highly, highly recommend this book so that many can learn this lesson!
