When reading the title, someone might ask: "WHAT IS THE UNBELIEVABLE FIB?" It's the question printed on a card that eleven year old Prudence Potts has just received. On the other side is a message: "Be grave in your search and avoid having stones in your head." No one but Pru can see the card--except for the new boy, Abe, who moves into town after the cards arrive. It soon becomes clear that in the small New England town of Middleton, nothing (and perhaps nobody) is as it/they seem. There is a world of Norse mythology going around town, a mystery is brewing, and it is up to Pru to get into an investigation. I would rate this book 5 stars out of 5 because of this reason.
I have only read and own the kids presidents book from this kinda series. I would love to read this and the kids presidents book is amazing and my brother has read more but he is an even biggest fan of these books than I am. Once I'm done reading it, then I'm going to let my brother read it, and finally donate it to Goodwill or my school library. Thanks for taking the time to read this and accept this review and thanks to mostly DOGOnews and Quirk books for having this giveaways ( DOGO ) and Quirk books for having this book for us. I really hope that I'm one of the 10 winners. ~ Catface173
As you probably can tell this book is about two girls named Ivy and Bean, and is book 1 in a series. Bean isn't interested in meeting the new girl across the street because she thinks she looks boring. Then she decides to play a trick on her older sister and the new girl, Ivy, comes to her rescue. The girls realize that neither of them are what the other thought they would be and that together they actually make a pretty good team. Ivy is into magic and spells. Bean is a little on the wild side.
I really like this book because of many reasons, one is that I love that it has just enough pictures and its in black in white which makes it look more oldish than others. I also like that when u read this even if there was no pictures, that u can imagine being there and seeing what's happening and why. Aton of monsters come aka the monster apocalypse and it's up to normal Jack to save the day including the town!
