Three best friends Maddie, angela, and Zoe go through a tough journey of tenth grade why deal with teachers and bullies. They deal with all this stuff at talking to each other about it over texting each other. I picked this book I deal with school problems and it related to me. I am rating this book for stars Because it was fun but at some points, it got really boring.

Silverwing brought me through a flood of adventures! I truly couldn't put the book down! It is about Shade, the runt of his colony and is so small that he gets bullied for it. Then, one day, the colony goes on the yearly trip to go mate with the males and have babies. But, not two days have gone by and a storm approaches and the Shade is whisked away from his mother. He is very determined to go and find his colony before winter hits and reunite with his mom. Along the way, he meets friends, unexpected enemies, and unexpected allies helping him find his way. Does Shade have the strength in his tiny body to make it all the way? Will he find his colony in time? If so, are they at the destination already? This was truly a great read and I loved the leveled adventures and the moral of the story (I'll let you figure that out yourself!). I connected with the book because Shade and I are very small for age. I would recommend this book to 5th and 6th graders. The reason I gave this book a 5-star rating is because it was an action-packed book and the author gave great detail, as if you were apart of the entire book! What fascinates me the most is that the author chose bats as the main character, which is absolutely a great idea.

Stanley Yelnats has been convicted of a crime he didn't even commit. Because of this, he's been sent to Camp Green Lake, a camp that is supposed to build character and bring boys back to society. When Stanley gets there, he makes some friends and finds out that the Warden is making the boys dig holes not to build character, but to find a legendary secret treasure, that his great-great-grandfather supposedly had something to do with. Will he ever find the treasure? Will he ever get his crime justified and escape Camp Green Lake? Read Holes by Louis Sachar to find out. I connected to this book because Stanley takes the blame for things he didn't do, and I have done that before. I give this book 4 stars because the story plot was good, but the cutting back and forth to the past and present was confusing, and the resolution was predictable in some parts.

Carter and Sadie Kane haven't been the same since their mother's death. Carter travels the world with their dad Julius Kane, and Sadie lives in London with her grandparents. Everything changes when Julius takes them to a museum on their one-day annual meet. He sets free the Egyptian god Set, who banishes him and forces the siblings to run. After, they find out that the world of Egyptian gods are awakening, and the worst of them, Set is after them and domination of the rest of the world. Carter and Sadie must go on an epic quest to stop him, but also find out many secrets about them and their family. I connected to this book because I related how it was to see a distant family member after some years. I give this book 5 stars because the story plot is tremendous, and the timeline and the character traits all fit in well together.

I gave this book a 4 star rating because it was very exiting and I loved how the secret continued to unfold, you would have to read the book to find out the secret. This book is emotional ,because Sal's mother will always be singing in the trees. It was based on a true story, I made a connection with this book, because when I had a secret it was unfolding quickly and it was kinda in a bad situation, because it was a surprise for this one girl and I told someone and everyone found out the next day including the girl so it was bad. But I think you should read this book because you will make some connections just like I did.

I gave this book a 4-star rating because it was a great book but not the best I've read. I connect with the book because me Lina both have younger siblings. This book is about a city that is underground and is running out of supplies for the people and their health. Two kids, Lina and Doon, want to do something about it. After trying and trying, they are about to give up. Just then, Lina finds something that may help find a way out. Is this mysterious object linked with escaping? Is what Lina thinks the truth? If so, will the people of Ember make it out in time? Read City of Ember to find out!
