I've always been a fan of both Ever After High, and Monster High. I've constantly listened to the songs on repeat, and I've own almost all the books except this one and Kiss and Spell. I've drawn fan art for both shows many times, and it's really no surprise to say that I'm in love with this series. The covers are so beautifully drawn, usually done with colored pencils, and the story is told in such an impressive narrative, that seems to captivate the reader into the fantasy world. It'll be amazing to get a chance to read this book.
I love anything fantasy, and something like dark fantasy/horror science fiction really inspires me. I've loved classics like Edgar Allan Poe's poems, Dracula, Frankenstein, and the Penny Dreadful books. I just imagine a fantasy world, with magical elements mixed with mythological classic, and I just get tingles of happiness. Plus, the title and cover itself is very nicely composed.
I'm barely halfway into this book, but it looks promising. Written in a way that still seems intellectual but real and relatable through a young boy's point of view. Fan Art explores topics of homosexuality and truly finding oneself and purpose in life. And there are little tidbits of information about famous artists, pop culture references, and advice on drawing in general sprinkle throughout.
