I liked this story a lot and decided to read the other books in the series too. I like the adventure in these stories and I like the magic. I'm even going to be Harry Potter for Halloween!

This book is a lot like the Series of Unfortunate Events because there are three siblings who are orphans and have bad things happen to them. But this book also has dragons and magic. It was cool!

The three Baudelaire orphans are very unlucky. Their names are Violet, Klaus, and Sunny. Their parents died in a fire that burned down the Baudelaire mansion. After the fire the Baudelaires went to a relative named Count Olaf’s house to live there. They figured out Count Olaf was evil and wanted to steal the Baudelaire fortune.

Two teenagers in the world have special powers that you or me don’t have [I hope you don’t at least]. Their names are Sadie [girl] and Carter [boy]. They were trained by a man named Amos to be able to use magic on their will. They both have amulets that help them use magic.

There was a bone in Boneville named Fone Bone. He thought that going on a hike would be good to two other bones named Phoney Bone and Smiley Bone. When they went on the hike the Bones got separated by a swarm of locusts. Fone Bone fell off of a clift and found a map at the entrance of a cave.

Percy Jackson is a son of Poseidon, not just a guy named Poseidon, I mean the sea god Poseidon, but the big three gods were not supposed to have children with mortals. If one of the big three’s children reached 16 years a prophecy states the child would have the choice to help destroy Olympus or defend it whichever side he chose would win the war.

There is a pokemon trainer named Red he owned the pokemon Poliwhirl. Poliwhirl is a water type pokemon. That means that his attacks are very affective on fire type pokemon. Pokemon are creatures that people battle each other with. There are eight basic types they are, fire, forest, water, darkness, psychic, metal, lightning, and fighting.
