This movie is really great. It is about a couple that died in a car crash that become ghosts. They dislike the new owners of their house and try to scare them away, but the owners can't see them. One day, when the couple were in the attic, the old TV in the attic turns on and an advertisement pops up. A man named Beetlejuice is offering help to any ghosts that are trying to scare new owners away. The couple think its a good idea, so they call Beetlejuice, simply saying his name three times. It turns out though, that Beetlejuice is nothing but trouble. Later on, they meet a girl named Lydia, the daughter of the man of the house, who turns out to be able to see them. The couple become good friends with Lydia and soon learn to accept the new owners. This movie has a few parts that might not be appealing to the eye, so if you don't like scary stuff, you might not want to watch this movie. However, its really funny and its a great movie to watch with family.

I am going to try to bring back the "Guess the Song Lyrics"! Some of you guys know what I am talking about. Try to figure out the song writer and the song, "I've been watching you for some time..."

earthling's book review was featured in Because of Mr. Terupt.
This book is absolutely amazing and its from multiple perspectives, so you get a idea of how the all the students (Jessica, Alexia, Peter, Luke, Danielle, Anna, & Jeffrey) are feeling and thinking. This book is about seven kids that have the same teacher, Mr. Terupt. He is an inspiring teacher and helps everyone, no matter how different each of them are, grow and become the best versions of themselves. The seven kids all have their faults, but try to help each other along the way. Towards the end of the book, Jeffrey accidenly hits Mr. Terupt with a snowball and knocks him unconsious. Jessica, Alexia, Peter, Luke, Danielle, Anna, and Jeffrey may not be happy with each other, but eventually learn to stick together and hope for Mr. Terupt, who they all love, to get better.

This book made me cry and feel melancholy, but in a GOOD way. This book is realistic fiction, so I can totally relate to it. This book is about a girl that has dyslexia, a chronic condition that makes you have trouble with reading. The girl's name is Ally. Ally is prone to trouble, but she can't help herself. Every year, she has to get through days of bullying, teasing, and mean teachers and classmates. Nobody likes her. One year, however, she gets a kind teacher, Mr. Daniels, that helps her improve her reading skills, a brave friend named Keisha, and a kid named Albert, who has secrets of his own. The three of them face conficts together and stay true to each other. Nobody actually likes to be made fun of and be left out, and this book is a perfect way to demonstate that.
