One day a 10 year old girl named Samar asks Red for a friend. Samar is not like everyone else in that town she is special and different. Samar comes to the tree every night to talk with the tree. Red finds a wanting to grant her wish because she sees something in Samar that is not in others. With the help of Red's best friend Bongo they might be able to help Samar find a friend. I really enjoyed how the author put this book in the perspective of a 216 year old oak tree. This book was so well written that you might even believe that trees can talk.

The Boxcar children is a wonderful book about 4 orphaned kids, Jessie, Henry, Violet, and Benny. It is about there adventures while they journeyed to find a home. Soon they end up finding an old Boxcar and calling it there home. The 4 children have ran away because they do not want to live with grandfather because they think he is mean and will not like them. Soon the come to a surprising truth about there grandfather. I really enjoyed reading this book because you can't let go until you finish the book.

The Fourteenth Goldfish is a wonderful book about girl named Ellie. When Ellie's grandfather turns younger with the help of a jellyfish. This makes him go the same school as Ellie, this helps them become closer. This is one of my favorite books and is truly worth reading.
