This book is about Robert Langdon, a professor of an University, and Sophie, the cop working in a Paris police station, trying to solve a murder. Robert Langdon not only studies Leonardo Da Vinci’s work, but also studies Da Vinci’s mysteries, including the secrets in his paintings, and religions while he was alive. Sophie cooperated with Robert Landon to find out the murderer of the crime. The intense part of this book is the procedure involving physical violence between the criminal and Robert Langdon. The tension of their conflict excited me. I will recommend this book to my friends because most parts in the story are intriguing, which will capture the readers into the story.

This book is about a group of people trying to escape a school that was created by artificial intelligent robots. The main character in this book is Benson Fisher. He doesn’t like violence, but in important times when the robots attack students in attempt to use their flesh as their own, he can fight really well. The most fierce part of this book is when the students are escaping the school, and the robots are killing and chasing after them. In my opinion, I related the story of the rise of robots to the possibility of human using robots to take place of human workers in the future. The book inspired me not to rely on robots a lot because they might take over with their increasing emotions and intelligence. I will recommend this book to my friend because the entire book is very intense and interesting. You will worry about the main character because when he is in danger, you will feel like you are in danger, too.

This book is about all the people that are immune to the Flare trying to survive through a trial made by an organization called WICKED. The main characters are Thomas, Teresa, and Ratman. Thomas and Teresa has a power to communicate in their minds, and they are trying to lead all the people in the trial out of it. Ratman is a member of WICKED who tells the immune people the rules of the trial for them to survive. In my opinion, the book lacks smoothness and organization. It seems like the setting of the story is skipping around, and it completely makes no sense. I will not recommend this book to my friends for the reasons above.

This book is about the survivors trying to find a safe place that has no infected people for them to live. “The Flare” is a virus that is spread by sun flares, and it will mess with people’s mind, and make people crazy. The main characters are Mark, Alec, Trina, and Deedee. Alec is a soldier before the Flare, starts killing people. Mark, Trina, and Deedee are the people that live in small towns before the Flare. My favorite character is Alec because he knows how to fight, and he shows bravery when fighting. In contrast, I felt very frustrated when Mark is hiding like a little wimp during a fight. I really like this book because the parts where Mark and Alec are facing their enemies are very intense. Therefore, I will recommend this book to my friends because I want them to read the fighting parts in the story.

This book is about a group of people escaping the “trial”, and trying to fight back WICKED. The main characters in this book are Thomas and Teresa. Thomas is Teresa’s boyfriend, and he shows bravery when leading everyone out of the trial. Teresa is Thomas’s girlfriend. She also shows bravery when working together with Thomas. Thomas and Teresa can talk in their minds. The intense part of this book is when Teresa is in danger, and Thomas can’t save her. I felt very anxious when no one can help Teresa, and she is about to die. I will recommend this book to my friends because the content of this book is very well written, and you won’t feel like something is not making sense.
