Great ideas!!! Off the top of my head, maybe more though, out of those I have read: Fever 1793, Little House on the Prairie, Island of the Blue Dolphins, The War That Saved My Life, (that's one of my favorites!! read it many times!!) and The Invention of Hugo Cabret. I asked for the Outsiders for Christmas but sadly did not get it, so I will have to borrow it from a friend of mine the next time I see her. I will look at the other ones online and see if I want to read them :)Over 3 years agobscliked a comment in Summer Reading 2020.
I would recommend these historical fiction books: For Middle school and up I would recommend The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton, The Perfect Horse: The Daring U.S. Mission to Rescue the Priceless Stallions Kidnapped by the Nazis by Elizabeth Letts, Unbroken By Laura Hillenbrand, SGT. Reckless by Robin Hutton, Gone With The Wind by Margret Mitchell, Fever 1793 by Laurie Halse Anderson, Ghost Riders by Mark Felton, Don't Give Up, Don't Give in By Louis Zamperini, The Librarian of Auschwitz by Antonio Iturbe, and The Boys in the Boat by Gregory Mone. For Elementary School readers, I'd recommend Little House On The Prarie, The Island Of The Blue Dolphins, The War That Saved My Life, Anne of Green Gables, The Invention of Hugo Cabret, Black Beauty, and Carolynn Kenne's Nancy Drew. Hope This Helped!Over 3 years agobscliked a comment in Summer Reading 2020.
