This is a good book for information about the Boston Tea Party. It all starts off normal, people just living their own lives. When they started putting taxes on tea, people were very angry and upset. A few people dumped crates of tea into the water to show what they think of the taxes. This is why the Boston Tea Party happened. I made a connection with this book because this was a real life tragedy that actually happened a long time ago that shows we can't get what we want, and you shouldn't make things worse. I give this book a 5 star review because it provides many reasons and examples why this event occurred, and how we can prevent this from happening again.

This book was very interesting. It is all about Walt Disney and his life. It expplains his journey to fame with his films, characters, and TV shows. It gives information of all his ups and downs through his journey. I made a text to world connection with this book because I have been to Disney World multiple times in my life. Even as I get older I still enjoy it just as much. I give this book a four star rating because as much as it was interesting, it was a little short for me personally. Even then, I learned a lot. If you are a person who likes to learn about famous people, this book is for you!

Silverwing brought me through a flood of adventures! I truly couldn't put the book down! It is about Shade, the runt of his colony and is so small that he gets bullied for it. Then, one day, the colony goes on the yearly trip to go mate with the males and have babies. But, not two days have gone by and a storm approaches and the Shade is whisked away from his mother. He is very determined to go and find his colony before winter hits and reunite with his mom. Along the way, he meets friends, unexpected enemies, and unexpected allies helping him find his way. Does Shade have the strength in his tiny body to make it all the way? Will he find his colony in time? If so, are they at the destination already? This was truly a great read and I loved the leveled adventures and the moral of the story (I'll let you figure that out yourself!). I connected with the book because Shade and I are very small for age. I would recommend this book to 5th and 6th graders. The reason I gave this book a 5-star rating is because it was an action-packed book and the author gave great detail, as if you were apart of the entire book! What fascinates me the most is that the author chose bats as the main character, which is absolutely a great idea.

This book is about Jack Sawyer traveling high and low to find a cure of cancer for his mother. His dad and dad's best friend finds a duplicated world and tells Jack that the cure of cancer is in here. It is called the talisman. Jack goes through many adult like challenges. He finds people that want to help him on the way and he also finds people that want to kill him. I connected to this book by knowing how bad Jack wants this for his mom. I connected by that by wanting to cure someone I know and love as well. I rate this book a 4/5 starts because it does get somewhat confusing about the real world and duplicated world.
