Want to know the true story of Rumpelstiltskin? Rump is a 12 year old boy who doesn't know his true name. When his mother was going to tell him, he only hears Rump. His mother dies before telling him his whole name. His grandmother takes care of him. He meets a friend named Red. One day, he finds a spinning wheel. It was his mothers spinning wheel. He discovers he can spin straw to gold. Red warns him that his magic is dangerous. She was right. When he weaves the straw, he is weaving himself deeper into the curse. The greedy miller soon figures out about this. One time the king comes and the miller says that is daughter can turn straw to gold. The king takes her to a tower and locks her up. Rump decides to help her. Every time he helps her he asks for something. She gave a necklace, ring, and promised him her first newborn child. After that he goes on a quest to find his name and destiny. Along the way he meets pixies and trolls and discovers a secret of the trolls. I thought this book was pretty good. I think you should read it. In most Rump stories, he seems like a bad guy. Lisel Shurtliff finds good qualities of Rump. She tries to make Rump seem like a good person. I recommend this book for grades 3 and up. This was a great book!

Like the book says, "One friend can make all the difference". This book shows how friendships affect people's lives. Charlotte Lockard and Ben Boxer live more than a thousand miles apart, but are friendly online Scrabble rivals. Ben does not have friends at school, and wishes he had friends to talk to. His parents are also getting divorced, but he does not understand why. Ben also gets bullied at school. Charlotte has a friend, Bridget, but she realizes after a while, that Bridget is not really her friend. At the same time, her father is at the hospital because of a car crash. Throughout the book, both Ben and Charlotte find friends in unexpected people. I liked this book a lot. It shows the reader the importance of friendship, and how friends affect each other. This is a good read for grades five and up.

Charlotte and Ben are friends that live more than 1,000 miles apart. they are both TAG students ( talented and gifted), they are both lonely with no friends, and both like to play Scrabble. Ben likes to recycle. Charlotte likes to collect rocks and wants to be a geologist when she grows up. They are both friends on online Scrabble. Follow their adventures in school and their way to find friendship. This book was pretty okay to me. it is just about friendship. Their wasn't very much and it was a bit slow pacing. I think you should still read it though. I rate it a 2.5 star book.

Ever been in a tree house. You should go to Andy and Terry's tree house. It isn't any ordinary tree house. It is a 13 story tree house! They have bizarre things in their tree house like a lemonade fountain, a marshmallow shooter that shoots marshmallows in your mouth when you are hungry, and a see through pool! Follow Andy and Terry's adventures in the tree house. One day a package arrives to bring birth to sea onkeys. What happens later is that the packages get mixed up and they give birth to a sea monster. Then when they get their proper package, there is chaos. This was a fun book to read! This is recommended for 1st graders, 2nd graders, and 3rd graders. it was very wacky. This book is certainly recommended!

Meet Gertie Reece Foy, a fifth grader who never gives up on missions. She has completed everyone of her missions. After her mother( Rachael Collins) left and gt married to this guy named Walter, Gertie has a new mission, to become the best fifth grader ever. Easy, right. the only new problem is the new seat stealing girl Mary Sue Spivy. Her father is a film producer and worked in a lot of films with this actress named Jessica Walters. Her mother is this environmental protection agent. Everybody loves this new girl, even the teacher ms Simms loves her. Gertie never gives up so, she will do anything it takes to complete her missions. Even if it means that people don't like her. Follow her adventures as she tries to complete her mission to become the best fifth grader ever. I think this was a great book. I think it would be for grades three and up. This was an awesome book. Andy Griffiths and Terry Denton are world-famous author and illustrator, but have you ever wondered where and how they write there books. They do so in there very own thirteen story treehouse! It has a a bowling alley, a see-through swimming pool, a secret underground laboratory, and a marshmallow machine that follows you around and automatically shoots marshmallows into your mouth whenever you are hungry. However, they have to create their next book, and they are already late on submitting it. There are many distractions while they try to write this book. This includes a mermaid, sea monkeys, and a giant gorilla. How will they ever finish their book? This was an interesting story. It is not very long, and only took me 10 to 20 minutes to read. However, it wasn't very action packed. It is a good book for ages seven and up.

Red is an 216 year old oak tree. But, there is something that you probably don't know about tress and animals. They can talk! How? Well, it's a "mysterious dance of sunlight and sugar and wind and water". Red is also a wishtree. Many people come in May (but also all year round) to tell Red there wishes. She's heard many ridiculous and sincere wishes. However, when a ten year old muslim girl, Samar, moves into the neighborhood, people aren't very welcoming to her. Her wish is to have a friend. Red decides that she must help her. With the help of a best friend Bongo they might be able to find a friend for Samar. This was a cool book from an interesting perspective. There are many books about trees or animals being able to talk, but I felt this book was very unique. It is written from Red's perspective in a world full of humans. This is a great book for grades four to five and up.
