Even though the title suggests otherwise I think this was a short funny, and just all out really good book. You can read it in 20 minutes and I bet you can read it in even less time. This book rewrites the rules of a superhero novel.It takes place in Gatlon city,after a fifty year reign of chaos and injustice.The two main characters oppose each other at the but eventually develop secret identities. First book in one of my favourite series of all time.A perfect blend of magic,deadly purges, action,and romance(in the later books.)This book follows Alex as he is put to death at thirteen for being creative,but he is and rescued by a magician and he learns magic and meets new friends and enemies.AMAZING BOOK!Almost 4 years agomax110 added a book review.

This book is part of the Macdonald Hall series. This book contains a lot a humour and suspense. Bruno and Boots can make anything happen with there friends. They make there school so much fun to read about. I recommend this to grade’s 2 through 6.
