Best friends, big fans, a mysterious webcomic, and a long-lost girl collide in this riveting novel, perfect for fans of both Cory Doctorow and Sarah Dessen, & illustrated throughout with comics.

Once upon a time, two best friends created a princess together. Libby drew the pictures, May wrote the tales, and their heroine, Princess X, slayed all the dragons and scaled all the mountains their imaginations could conjure.
Once upon a few years later, Libby was in the car with her mom, driving across the Ballard Bridge on a rainy night. When the car went over the side, Libby passed away, and Princess X died with her.
Once upon a now: May is sixteen and lonely, wandering the streets of Seattle, when she sees a sticker slapped in a corner window.
Princess X?
When May looks around, she sees the Princess everywhere: Stickers. Patches. Graffiti. There's an entire underground culture, focused around a webcomic at IAmPrincessX.com. The more May explores the webcomic, the more she sees disturbing similarities between Libby's story and Princess X online. And that means that only one person could have started this phenomenon---her best friend, Libby, who lives.

this is the best book in all the books I have read. Also I think that this book would be a little harsh for kids under the age of 10. This book is realistic fiction book. I also would not read this as a bed time story. Anyone could read this book but not everyone will love this book.

Wow Wow

Best book I have ever read! Totally recommend and think anyone could enjoy. Has aspects of all genres that even people who don’t enjoy fiction or mysteries won’t want to put down. Read because it will change your life.

I could not put this book down when I first read it a few months ago. It's an amazing book if you're looking for a good read from the library. I think that you shouldn't buy this book, but get it from the library because the second time is not as good as the first. Also, when planning to read this book, set a good chunk of time aside because YOU WILL NOT WANT TO PUT IT DOWN! Just a quick warning. And another tip is not to get it on a Kindle because it's harder to read the comics that way. READ THIS BOOK!!! This book left me wanting more to the story.

It was a great book! I really liked it.

This book totally rocked! Not only did it involve visual aspects, but it also was written beautifully! The book was action packed and full of adventure. It warmed my heart to see one friend so dedicated to another! And the art was beautiful and fit so well into the story!

Such a good book! I have given my book to my friend and she is enjoying it as well. The story “I am princess x” shows that you should never give up and lose somone or something you love. The mystery adds to the drama of the world of princess x.

Though it manages to reach a matter of suspense, it still fails to deliver any organizational plot; It just makes you want to wait for the ending and the webcomic, which is drawn quite well. Otherwise, it's dull and boring, and it drones on and on.

May created Princess X a warrior princess with Libby one day when they both weren't able to go to gym class. They weren't friends then but after that day they were. But now Libby is dead, she's been that way for three years now. But May can't seem to give up hope that somehow Libby escaped the car as it sank to the bottom of the river. Then May starts seeing stickers around her hometown of Princess X which leads her to believe that Libby could be alive! But as May starts to assemble the clues she gets the feeling that someone else someone dangerous is looking for Libby too.
