For twelve long years, the dread fortress of Azkaban held an infamous prisoner named Sirius Black. Convicted of killing thirteen people with a single curse, he was said to be the heir apparent to the Dark Lord, Voldemort.

Now he has escaped, leaving only two clues as to where he might be headed: Harry Potter's defeat of You-Know-Who was Black's downfall as well. And the Azkaban guards heard Black muttering in his sleep, "He's at Hogwarts . . . he's at Hogwarts."

Harry Potter isn't safe, not even within the walls of his magical school, surrounded by his friends. Because on top of it all, there may well be a traitor in their midst.

LOVE THIS BOOK, i love the plot twist at the end, introduces the MARAUDERS, and their MaP, but being honest if you payed attention in the first book this book doesn't make a lot of sense BOOK 1: "young sirius black gave it to me sir" this book : "sirius black is a nitrous mass murder"

It was pretty good. The ending was a little creepy, especially finding our that Ron Weasley's rat, Scabbers, is Peter Pettigrew. Other then that, it needed more action and suspense

I did enjoy this, but it's not my favorite. I gave it 4 stars because it needed some more action and suspense in it. I did enjoy that Sirius was in it and it part of the Harry Potter novels, but like I said. More action and suspense and I would have rated it 5 stars

Harry Potter is back at the place he loves best, Hogwarts. He's starting his third year but- there is a criminal on the loose. Sirius Black. People say that they say him kill 13 people at once and he's a loyal to Voldemort. People warn Harry not to go find Black, and Harry won't. Why would he? "Why would I go looking for someone that's trying to kill me?" Because of Black, dementors have been set up around the school. Dumbledore isn't happy about that, and after Harry experiences the dementors, he can see why. But... will he be safe? You'll have to read the book to find out!

This is a good book though it definitely wasn't my favourite in the Harry Potter Series. I am really sad that Sirius didn't get to be proved innocent!
