'Bhi conai ar mhuintir Dursley in uimhir a ceathair Privet Drive ...' The first words of J.K. Rowling's timeless classic are familiar to readers the world over as 'Mr and Mrs Dursley, of number four, Privet Drive ...' Learners and lovers of the Irish language will delight in Maire Nic Mhaolain's sparkling Irish language translation of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, which perfectly captures the wit and invention of the original, now reissued with stunning new cover art from Jonny Duddle.

The book is quite interesting but in all honesty it does not live up to its expectations. It is only nearer to the end of the series where it gets juicy. The short meeting with the dark lord was not dramatic enough. Overall the book it self was great.

I love this book! In this book Harry Potter's parents die and he lives with his aunt and uncle which treat him very badly. One day Harry goes to Hogwarts and meets Ron and Hermione. It is so cool, Harry and his friends find a secret passage and split up. Harry meets "you know who" and defeats "you know who". It all happened because Harry Potter is a wizard.
