Harriet Manners is a geek.

As if the Oxford English Dictionary on her nightstand isn't enough of a clue, there are also the weird looks she gets at school, and the way no one appreciates her extensive trivia knowledge. So when her friend Nat drags her along to a fashion show and Harriet is accidentally discovered by a modeling agent, she leaps at the chance to reinvent herself.

Harriet isn't sure she'll ever learn to navigate the terrifying world of high fashion - at least not without falling off a runway and embarrassing herself in front of her gorgeous new costar, Nick. But ready or not, she's about to learn whether she has what it takes to transform from geek to chic.

Geek + runway = a runaway hit! Geek Girl is the first book in a hilarious, internationally bestselling series that's perfect for fans of Louise Rennison and The Princess Diaries.

It is a exciting book. Yes i would say exciting because as you start reading it u want to read more. The facts are awesome and her behaviour is relatable to normal geeks. Its a book i would definitely recommend to every girl. I love the part when she is with nick(the lion boy) and the boy in her school. Its what every girl goes through

I loved this book so much! It was so funny and I couldn't stop reading it. One of my favorite books EVER. I loved the random facts and jokes only geeks would get ;). This book is great and from a geeks point of view~ FORMIDABLE! I highly recommend this book. <3

It's actually a really humorous book with lots of stuff that really hits you with things that you didn't understand in the first place and helps you understand the next time, although there are lots of thing there that I don't understand and have to look it up in the dictionary. But other than that, I enjoy reading it and actually have a copy of it on my bookshelf.

Geek Girl, by Holly Smale, is one of the most enjoyable realistic fiction books I have read. I have also read the other books in this series. They're all great. Harriet accepted a modeling job for a huge fashion industry. However, she is lies to her step-mom, Annabel in order to keep the job, because Annabel does not think that Harriet should be modeling. Harriet also lies to her best friend Nat because Nat's lifelong dream was to model, and Harriet feels like she is stealing Nat's dream. I like this book quite a bit. I love how many strange little facts there are strewn throughout the book, and would definitely read other books by Holly Smale. Geek Girl is well written, clever, and very enjoyable to read. I would highly recommend this book to all. I think that it can help people realize that even when you feel on your own, you probably aren't.

It Looks soo good I really would like to read it!
